The Saudi's are not prone to rash decisions...I think open warfare cannot be ruled out, but it may be more an effort to get/keep Persian spies out and the comment regarding Washington I think solely directed at Obama's already extremely problematic Iranian Nuke Scheme that the Saudi's (not entirely unjustifiably) viewed as a stab in their back.

The Sunni-Shia flames continue to roil.  Bahrain cuts ties with Iran, UAE recalls their ambassador.

Like most things Obama touches...he lets loose everyone's envy, greed, lust and jealousy...then walks away and awaits another Peace Prize.

A Sunni-Shia confrontation is always in play...the actions of Team Obama merely affect the timing...
