My periodontist had been closed all of April. The office is opening this coming Monday, I have had an appointment and I'm going; however ....... these are the *new* procedures:
Must come masked.
Must park out front and call into the office.
'Somebody' will come out to my vehicle, take my temp and ask -- again -- the 20 stupid questions they asked me when they called me yesterday, i.e. have I been out of the country/near anyone sick/run a fever in last two weeks/yadda yadda yadda, BECAUSE these are the CDC GUIDELINES they "have to follow in order to open the office". (uhn hunh, sure.)
If I pass, I'll be allowed, masked, into the office, where I'll have to unmask IN ORDER TO GET MY TEETH CLEANED.
I barely restrained my hostility on the phone, but with every question she asked, as in, "have you been around anyone who's sick?", I asked her "have YOU?" After three repetitions of this, she finally said something about if she had been exposed/was sick, she wouldn't be allowed in the office. Okay.
I'm done with this crap; I'm done with trying to follow the one-way signs in the friggin grocery stores, which ones require masks, and the whole freakin charade.
I picked a real bad time to quit smoking.
