Your Good News of the Day: Some States May Already Be Close To Herd Immunity From COVID-19 About 19 million people in the U.S. have had confirmed cases of COVID-19. But confirmed cases may be the tip of the iceberg. Although estimates vary, the Centers for Disease Control believes that about eight people have been infected for each one person with a documented case. If we multiply the 19 million known cases by 8, it is possible that about 152 million people are already immune. Yet the proportion of people who have been infected and the rate of new cases varies significantly by state.Using publicly available data sources, it is possible to estimate the number of people who might have immunity in each state. The simple calculation multiplies the number of known cases in each state by 8. Then, divide the number of expected immune people by the state population. The numbers vary dramatically across the country, with North Dakota topping the list at 92 percent in contrast to the least affected state, Vermont, at a mere 7 percent.A very crude estimate suggests that new cases should begin trending downward when about 60 percent of the population has been infected.By this calculation, five states are likely to have more than 60 percent of their populations previously infected (North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Nebraska) with three others (Utah, Rhode Island, and Wyoming) approaching 60 percent.

Every day the local rag lists the #'s in the 3 surrounding counties by township. In the past 3 months mine went from a steady <20 to >76 according to them. This is a rural area mostly farm and horses. Who the hell is testing + and why

If anyone on the job becomes ill with anything, they have to get tested before returning to the job, and anyone on the job that came in contact with him/her has to get tested as well. The testing is panic/agenda driven because TPTB are still pushing the idea that there are asymptomatic "spreaders".Have I said I hatez theez peepul.

Pandemic Industrial Complex...no kidding! Is there anything that is not a scam?

Is there anything that is not a scam? Was on the phone with a LOT of people last night (some called while I was @ the grocery store @ 9:00 PM). I'm not a paranoid type -- but it's becoming extremely hard to know what to believe (and maybe that's planned) - but I'm hearing a lot of noise about Marshall Crenshaw's new album "The Law", dropping by this Friday - supposedly an arresting batch of songs -- though it seems improbable, what with record companies nowadays . . .
