As a U.S. government contractor, XXXX is required to comply with President Biden’s recent executive order requiring COVID-19 vaccines for federal contractors. Advancing the health and safety of our global workforce is fundamental to our values and a core priority every day.
After careful review and consideration, we are implementing a new requirement for U.S.-based employees to either show proof of being fully vaccinated from COVID-19 by Dec. 8, or have an approved reasonable accommodation (based on a documented disability or sincerely held religious belief) exempting them from the requirement. Employees who require an exemption should request one by Nov. 1 to avoid missing the deadline of Dec. 8. We are monitoring new and proposed state and local orders that could affect the timing or process for implementing this requirement in certain Boeing sites. If you are in a location that could be affected by such state or local rules, you will hear directly from your site’s leadership.
We are fully committed to assisting our teammates meet this requirement, and have established dedicated resources and services to assist employees. More information on how to share proof of vaccination or apply for an exemption will be available in the coming weeks.
