D. Congressman Alcee Hastings Dies At 84

(D-FL) ... died Tuesday morning following a two-year battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

“For much of the ensuing two years, he continued public appearances between medical treatments, but more recently he hadn’t been in public,” the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported. “In recent days, he had been in hospice care.”

... Left-wing local media called Hastings a “crusading civil rights lawyer.”

Still collected his paycheck, though, I'm sure, the impeached former judge that he was.

Special election to ensue; Republican Governor Ron DeSantis to decide the date.  Hastings was from an overwhelmingly Democrat district, so probably no change there.

Yet another fossil dies in office.   

With all the benefits you get as a retired congressman,  why stay in office?   

TERM LIMITS!!!!!!   Not just the one because you die of old age.

I’ve lost the thing in me that believes that we must remain above speaking ill of the dead no matter what. I’m glad when Leftists die. Can no longer pretend otherwise. Hope the flames feel good, Leftist.
