Kim Iversen did a special or two on the Kurds and did a deep dive. I recall the US was long bound to toss the Kurds under the bus.
US bases were always sitting ducks. It was only a matter of time before the bases were hit by someone.

ISIS(?) recently blew up a memorial service at a cemetery and killed lots of people. Maybe US supplied? John Kerry was caught on audio noting with approval ISIS closing in on Damascus.  The US is starting to look worse and worse to much of the world.

US proxies kill people using US weapons. How long until Russia/China supply the crazies with powerful weapons.
Why not supply narco gangs with RPGs and javelins and AA missiles? Give some AKs/RPGs to US inner city gangs? Turn the volume  up to 11.  A few years ago Sweden had an immigrant gang bombing every 2 or 3 days.

If US bombs Iran will Iran sleeper cells take out soft US targets? Mall of America. Film at 10.

Umm, it's not the US that looks worse, it is the demoscat/cuck/DeepState dreck that literally is evil...leave me/us out of it...

As far as supplying crazies with weapons, really?  in the modern era both Russia and China have armed several African warlord nations, Theocratic Mahdi Death Cult in Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela...come on, man?!

And Obama/FJB let in ANYBODY across our border, millions of military aged men, known terrorists and gangs included...and your plan is to grab ankles and let Iran do whatever it wants Obama-style?

That's not a traditional American response...that response would like like pounding Iran and hunting down and eliminating all the scum here...

I do not know the history of the Syrian war or all the  players. I believe that at least Turkey and US paid for the arms and fighters. I recall the motivation was a pipeline (or refusal to  build one) and Syria support for Hezbollah. I recall the FSA was a rebranding of some crazies to make them sound nicer.

I also recall that when liberated from the crazies the civilians say they were foreigners. The reason for all the Syrian refugees in Turkey is in part Turkey paying for the Syrian civil war. Turkey also funneled in jihadis to Syria through Turkey.

If I am remembering correctly,  and I think I am,  Trump proposed getting our troops out of Syria,  and the Pentagon brass and the warmongering Uniparty had a conniption fit,  so he didn't.

As far as ISIS,  what remained after our mostly successful assault on them  retreated to the city of Idlib,  a beautiful,  peaceful city whose inhabitants never joined in on the civil war.  Trump was right-  at that point we should have pulled out.

ASSad tasked Putin with the job of routing out what remained of ISIS from Idlib,  which would be very difficult to do without using "slash and burn" tactics.   The West warned Putin not to use those tactics but,  true to his nature,  that is exactly what he did.

I remember posting a video on another site about the time of Putin's invasion of Ukraine,  where they were interviewing refugees from the city of Idlib.  One refugee pointed out the West's outrage over Putin's invasion of Ukraine,  "but where is the outrage over what he's doing to us.  It is no different."

I think Trump ordered the US troops out of Syria and the military said they were withdrawing them then lied to Trump about the numbers. Later the US military brass bragged about lying to Trump.
