Raining here for 2nf straight day, which is nice, we needed it pretty bad...but seeing some of the live streams was cool...

I was disappointed in that regard as well,  in the '17 eclipse,  and I traveled about 40 miles to be sure and be in the 100%/totality spot.  It got dark enough for some of the brighter stars to be seen and nature got very quiet (birds and insects),  but I was expecting more darkness.
