My Sister gave me the full rundown of this the whole weekend...

I get it it, not "new" news, just becoming more relevant news everybody should know about...

I have not kept up on ozempic.
The question is what is causing all the disease?
Candidates include all the vaccines and seed oils or processed foods for other reasons.

I watch video blogs including comparisons of USSR life vs now. One surprising mention is that food tastes worse now for people that can remember the old food. Maybe the USSR collapse happened recently and suddenly to provide a sudden comparison? Maybe the US change happened slowly over time? Video blogs that mention school lunches say they were made from scratch like potatoes. People say that bread tastes worse now.

IMO seed oils are a areal thing. The fact that they are made in factories is not important. Human beings did not ingest them in quantity until maybe 1900. They are not really food but pass as food for other reasons. Soybean oil is a major example.

And... GMO's, bugs, the new lab-made mystery meat, pesticides, cloud seeding, chem-trails... ... ...

And, in the olden days...farm fresh was organic...

Soviets may not have poisoned food...it was just hard to get as communism matured (ha!) and the bread lines and vodka lines became real...

Yeah,  until 1900,  people used hog lard for frying an baking--much healthier. /s

Lard might be better for us. I could find some videos on that. There are primitive tribes that live on almost all animal fats or all carbohydrates but have no heart disease. It might be the seed oils.

There's good oils ya know?  Olive, I use a lot...coconut, avocado..

I am not hardcore anti other oils, I think in most things moderation or taking into account variances in how people process compounds makes sense...

And yeah good 'ol lard isn't a bad thing...like Eskimos and eating high-fat seal meat, our ancestors used lard for eons...if ya work hard and burn that energy in productive pursuits you'll probably be better off than the lard-eater who sits on their ass...

There are videos that show studies on seed oils vs non seed oil diets. IMO diary fats, lard, animal fats, tallow, suet, coconut oil, are all good for you. Olive oil is OK.

There was some famous study done where diets could be controlled, in a mental hospital. people were sicker and died on the vegetable oil diet than the animal fat diet as I recall. Maybe it was the higher carb vs animal fat diet. The researcher took it to his grave because it reached the wrong conclusion. Modern researchers got his mag tapes with data from his basement and published the study.

Olive oil for vegetables, canola oil for meat, sesame oil for Asian fare.  If I die, so be it.

Lard might be better for us. I could find some videos on that. There are primitive tribes that live on almost all animal fats or all carbohydrates but have no heart disease. It might be the seed oils.
And just what was the life expectancy of those primitive tribes?  Here in the U.S.,  our life expectancy was on the rise since the 1900's and that with the increased use of seed oils,  at least until the pandemic hit.

Heart disease is not the only thing you have to worry about when larding up (pun intended) on animal fats in your diet.  Clogging up of the arteries in your neck that supply blood to your brain is also a problem,  which can lead to strokes.  Raised in the south,  the "stroke capital" of the U.S.,  and like many here,  I've eaten my share of pork,  lard,  and fatty beef--raised on it in fact--but I have cut down in my old age, much to the delight of my blood pressure and heart rate.  And I will continue to use "seed oils"--what seems to be the latest "food bogeyman" that you have bought into (typically so).

The best advice comes from Paul the Apostle:  "In all things,  temperance."

...

If you think back about twenty or more years ago,  coconut oil was said to be very bad for you.   (Fist declared so by Center for Science in the Public Interest,  if not mistaken: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_for_Science_in_the_Public_Interest ,  a popular target for Rush to ridicule at the time,  and very popular with the fake news MSM to report on their latest pronouncements of "deadly" foods.)
Rush spoofed it for days on his radio show,  and brought out the fact that the reason the popcorn in movie theaters smelled and tasted so good was because it was popped in coconut oil.

Somewhere along the line from then to now,  it's now declared "good for you"?   Just shows to go ya how fickle and untrustworthy the scientific community has become.

(Not exactly sure but it might have been the CSPI that declared grilling hamburgers would produce carcinogens.  I do know that some entity in the scientific community did.  It's as if whatever popular food you are partial to,  they have to come up with something bad and bad for your health to say about it.)   "OK boss,  we'll eat the bugs now."

I could try to find the videos. It is hard to find human experiments where people are cut off from modern food. I think there were three tribes that did not consume much in the way of poly unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). I recall scans were done to find clogged arteries.  They were not clogged as I recall. Their diets varied greatly between each other. One was very low carb. The other was high carb from sweet potatoes. Both very low on PUFA.

"I could try to find the videos."

Don't bother.  Some of us are not as easily duped as you.
And you still didn't answer my question:   What was their life expectancy ?

I would have to look at the old videos. The videos cite three papers as I recall.

It is hard to avoid the seed oils unless you avoid processed foods.

I think I was in Auburn NY at a movie decades when the person asked "Would you like some butter flavored topping with your popcorn?" I was disgusted.

I think that people on low fat but high carb diets tend to develop insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes which causes heart disease.I mean clogged arteries.

There was an episode of The Good Wife where the law firms on each side were advocating different food programs for their clients to the govt. I think the name was "Whine and cheese." I think the USDA food pyramid was developed in response to political contributions at the time of LBJ.

I use olive a lot...and for grilling burgers or chicken I use butter, real butter...spiced to taste.  I rarely use much of anything else.  Frying fish, crisco...what is that?  Veggie/canola?  Latter doesn't happen to often, just for lake caught fish.  Other fish I broil.

Ha!  Obviously I do not remember those originals days...but my grandpaprents must have...and passed it down to my parents...

And I remember it always being around and used...so yeah, successful campaign...

Bit it wasn't universal...lard was used in baking/frying...the crisco more like how people use crap like Pan to quick-lube stuff tossed into the oven.  I recall my grandfather using bacon fat on everything...he would not waste it, would even pour it on leftover oatmeal and wolf it down.

Can we even get lard anymore?

And I use butter a lot, real butter...never like margarine at all, was just tasteless slime to me.  Can't believe it's not butter?  Can't believe people didn't kick their ass!
