One of the best baritone speaking voices of all time, in my opinion.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

The Voice.  Younger folks probably only know him as the voice of Darth Vader, but older folks probably remember him in Conan the Barbarian, Field of Dreams, Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger and briefly in Sum of All Fears...he had a small role in Dr. Strangelove too (on the B-52, Bombardier IIRC)...and what, tons of other voice-over's and cameos...  And until reading of his passing had no idea of his stage experience...

But, most upon hearing that voice, know exactly who it is.  Probably the most recognizable voice IMO.

Did a stint in the Army too following his bachelors at Michigan and being in the ROTC.

93 is a good run.  R.I.P.

We are now where The Founders were when they faced despotism.
