The CA dems give communism a bad name. The USSR and now China are both pro industrialization. The CA dems want to return to the primitive life, except for to top dems of course.

In 2014 the voters approved 4 water storage projects bonds  including reservoirs and a dam. Nothing has  been built yet.

Lenin's belief in the central importance of electrification to the achievement of communism is represented by his statement: Communism is Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country.

I wonder what the further consequences of the CA fires will be?

People were leaving CA before the fires. Often rich people who pay the most taxes.
How much will property tax revenue drop? What is the value of a plot of land with no house and a burnt house to be removed?

If the coastal commission takes years to grant building permits where will the rich people live for years? Why not leave the state?
If they took 3 years to grant a permit before how long now when 100x more permits are needed?

Where will building materials and labor come from all at once to rebuild?

Also I just heard that the LA mayor granted more money to the LAPD to clear out homeless maybe from some downtown areas to outer areas including the burned area. Homeless often build fires for heat and cooking.

Example:

A $10 million ocean-view property might break down as follows:
        Land: $7 million (70%)
        Home: $3 million (30%)

Important Notes:

Land-to-structure value ratios in Malibu can vary significantly between properties, so these figures are averages.
In extreme cases (e.g., vacant lots with spectacular views), the land value could represent nearly 100% of the property’s worth.

Property taxes in California are based on the assessed value of the property, and Proposition 13 caps the general property tax rate at 1% of the assessed value. Additionally, local taxes and assessments typically add 0.25% to 0.5%, bringing the total effective property tax rate in Malibu to around 1.1% to 1.5%.

Earlier he says that the fuel density is now 5x that of earlier years.

https://youtu.be/vda9aFhBrjI

Around 30 min in he says that 60 percent of CA forest is federal and has been off limits to logging for years. The logging roads served as firebreaks but no longer. He also said that the logging companies had to clear under power lines as part of the deal.

He also said that people wanting to clear brush in the canyons had to do studies and pay lawyers and can be held up by any of several agencies.

Some or all of the outside firefighters coming  in had to go to Sacramento to get papers to allow them to fire fight.

This 1962 documentary film produced by the Los Angeles Fire Department, describes the historic Bel Air / Brentwood wildfire that started on November 5, 1961 in the Bel Air community of Los Angeles. Over the course of three days, the wind-driven fire destroyed 484 homes, damaged 190 others, and burned over 16,000 acres. Amazingly, there was no loss of life attributable to the blaze.

The then $30 million disaster led to new laws in the City of Los Angeles to eliminate wood shingle roofs, and to clear dry brush away from homes. The film is narrated by actor William Conrad.

I do not GAFF if communism is electrified or not...commies suck and are antithetical to freedom and liberty and should be eradicated wherever they try to rise with extreme prejudice!

I found it funny that the old left (USSR) was all about industrialization and the new left is against it but expects electricity to come from the wall receptacles. Ayn Rand was ahead of her time in writing about this long ago.

Not one fracking Federal taxpayer cent!

Hmmm
The concentration of wealth in Pacific Palisades is high. According to IRS data analyzed by JPM, the average home in the area is valued at $3.5 million, yet more than half of tax returns report an adjusted gross income under $200,000. In Altadena, where the average home value exceeds $1.2 million, over 80% of tax filings show incomes below $200,000, with more than 60% reporting less than $100,000.

"Construction costs will be lower than home values though: in 2019, Redfin estimated that land value was 60% of the price of a home in Los Angeles, the highest share among any major metro area," the analysts pointed out.

I heard that CA has a home insurance of last resort called FAIR but it costs a lot. I heard it has reserves of 200 to 300M.

As of 2022, the combined annual cost of a FAIR Plan policy and a supplemental Difference in Conditions (DIC) policy averaged around $3,200.

In some high-risk areas, homeowners have reported annual premiums exceeding $12,000, reflecting the increased risk and limited availability of coverage options.

The inflated prices of the art work were due to their use to give money to the Biden crime family. With Biden out of govt and senile there is  little point to giving them money.
