The Triumphs of the Baltic Tigers Continue

Today, electricity prices in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are 53 times higher than in neighboring Finland.

While the cost of a kilowatt-hour in Finland stands at a mere 0.27 cents on the energy exchange, the Baltic geopolitical powerhouses boast a price of 14.2 cents, excluding turnover taxes.

For context, prior to their exit from the shared energy grid with Russia in 2020, Estonia's electricity cost was just 0.33 cents per kilowatt-hour.

Do we call that the premium for not being a Russian dependent?

Well, yeah...they're a humongous Europe-wide non-profit provider...what's the big deal?  I cannot speak to their grid adequacy or capacity or costs...if they're anything like ours they are what they are...

No idea why someone is advising an odd list of items to stock up on...  Games and cards?  WTF?

Either the switch works, has a slight delay or fails outright, eh?

I'll bet on a relative nothingburger...

I recall the UK recently came close to failing. Not sure if they are part of that grid.
