April 19th 2025 is the Bisesquicentennial anniversary of Lexington Green and the "shot heard round the world"...

Way back in the mid-80's I did an Art & History tour for college credit and visited many Revolutionary and Colonial sites in NY, NH, MA, RI, PA, NJ, MD & VA including Lexington & Concord.  Always loved these eras and enjoyed visiting the sites.

Well, we mostly transited Jersey but did stop at Trenton...Battle monument by old barracks...we did stay in Hoboken as it was cheaper than NYC when we were going into the city visiting Fort Greene Park, City Hall Park, Fraunces Tavern...that got shortened for me as I came down with a fast-hitting flu/food poisoning and got to get a couple IV's at St. Vincent's hospital...so yeah didn't really "see" that much in Jersey...and only parts of NY!

I will have to dig out my old Pics, so long ago...think we came out of our Philly stop, hit Trenton (IIRC the landing statue of GW was like blocks away from the Delaware, the barracks were like tucked away in spot nearer the river...and the battle memorial was at a crazy pointy convergence not too far from the landing statue) on our way to Hoboken where we stayed at the Stevens Institute of Technology dorm our Professor must have got a nice deal on, lol...

Cool.  Pretty land in that area as I recall.

I use to work for a New England company. I think Patriots Day was a holiday.
