    While we were wringing our hands over the Obamacare SCOTUS fiasco, he went and reinstated a 27-year offshore drilling moratorium, effectively putting the entire continental shelf off-limits to new oil and gas exploration until 2035.

Yeah there's apparently so much oil off Santa Barbara that it frequently washes ashore as tar balls, just from the natural seepage on the seafloor. California could right its economy with the stroke of a pen, but so committed are they to moonbattery that they will just keep going along with their rapid annexation by Mexico. Idiots.

It isn't stated anywhere other than the WyBlog site. Perhaps he is in error in assuming it is part of the 2012-2017 policy, effectively extending the moratorium that ended in 2008 another 27 years (to 2035). Either way, it's another giant F-U to America in the midst of an economic depression.
