Anybody familiar with FAMC?

The WaterBob looks interesting.

The Colloidal Silver Generator looks interesting too, I might have to call and ask about quantity of distilled water required and what kind of output there is.

Be careful with that colloidal silver stuff. Some people take it

too far and the results are not pretty.

In a doomsday scenario, hippies will be among the first casualties. So not everything about doomsday will be bad.

Quote
The 275 serving bucket contains 55 packages of food. The 55 packages will be a variety of the following. We cannot guarantee quantities of particular foods.

    * Tuscan Butter Noodles
    * Cheesy Broccoli Rice
    * Creamy Potato Soup
    * Italian Tomato Pasta
    * Vegetable Barley
    * Creamy Vegetable Rice
    * Whey Milk
    * Brown Sugar Oatmeal

Why? Do the people who load the buckets not know how to count? If you're going to suggest that a bucket filled with 275 (exactly) servings of food contains 8 (exactly) varieties of food, why is the quantity of each food left completely open for interpretation?

One could conceivably open the bucket and find one each of items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 8, and 268 packages of Whey Milk, and one would have no recourse.

This disclaimer is inexplicable to me. The seems to be no logical reason for it.

Not sold.

I think it is the mix making up the number, not the number.  It is not written well.

It looks to me like they're saying you get 275 of 8 different kinds of food, but the number of each is up to us, and it'll be a complete surprise, so don't come bitching cuz we warned ya.

I took it that way as well, so I'm not sold either.  We ordered from ReadyMade Essentials and got good results with the variety-packages.

Most of those items may be duplicated from the grocery in a can
or sealed bag.  A bucket of something not readily obtainable would
be preferable.

Looks a lot like a smurf. They say that it's permanent...like an all over tattoo or something.

There also seems to be no real evidence that colloidal silver has any actual benefits. Of course, with current antibiotics losing their effectiveness I guess we are all going to die of infection anyway.

Most of what we bought was freeze-dried.  Haven't seen that kind of stuff, in bulk, in the grocery stores.

The potato buds are pretty good.  Not as good as regular, normal mashed potatoes, but nothing to sniff at either.

Yeah, most of our hoard is freeze dried too, a smattering of various vitels and a mix of raw materials (flour, milk, butter, etc) and some MREs.

Got rice, beans, sugar and salt as well?

Oh, and honey.  Good for sweetening and as an antiseptic.

Yes on the first, I cannot remember about honey though.  I'm sure we have some squirreled away (probably not more than a few jars), not sure how much though.  How long will that stuff last?  There are rural producers in the area we could buy from, not sure how much to get though.

Honey in a good jar will last indefinitely -- one of its good features.

I just looked at the generator thread you started, at your last post, and felt bad for adding to your list over here.

I knew 'em by the moniker "John Wayne".  Don't have any, but I have many pocket knives with gizmos, still, not a bad idea Pan.

Can get on eBay too.

When you say P38 I can only think of this one
