Chevy Chase was seriously un-funny in his role...

I thought he was playing himself.  ;D

I just never thought that he was all that funny on film. He was great on SNL but for me he just didn't translate to film very well.

Seen him recently? He hasn't aged all that well either.

I liked Chevy up to a point. I think he was funnier, and somehow lost his sense of humor as time went on. I loved him in the first NL Vacation, and Fletch.

Yup. Saw Holy Grail. Never saw Life of Brian though.

I've never seen a Woodie Allen movie.

Saw something with he and David Niven way back when where he was a bad guy and got blowed up at the end, other than that...   ::puke::

And I never will.

I've never seen a Woodie Allen movie.

"Life of Brian" sucked so you missed nothing. I got dragged to it (when it was originally released) when I was out with friends.

If you have seen one Woody Allen movie you have seen them all. Now that he is publicly known to be a pedophile I don't know how he isn't in jail let alone allowed to keep making one uninteresting film after another.

I've never seen Brokeback Mountain.

And I never will.

That is one I have not seen and will not see. Here's another: "The Crying Game" for similar reasons.

I have never seen anything by Roman Polanski, either. Started to watch "Chinatown" but fell asleep ten minutes into it so I don't count that.

That I saw, for reasons I don't remember.  Feh.

Me either and I know more about it than I care to

I saw "The Fearless Vampire Killers", it wouldn't make the recommended movie list.

On a recommendation from my hippie brother years ago, my wife and I rented "My Own Private Idaho" on VHS, starring Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix.

A little while into it, I said, "If they do one more G_D gay thing, I'm shutting this PoS off."

About 30 seconds later Reeves and Phoenix French kissed full on the mouth. That was that.

That was a Polanski flick?  Dang, my perfect record ruined!

 ::facepalm::

(My brother made me watch it!)

I forget how old I was, 10 or so, and my brother had me sit up and watch it one night, it was the late night feature on a Friday or Saturday night...

I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be horror or comedy, it was weird.

I never knew it was a Polanski film, it just wouldn't have been on my radar back then.

We used to stay up and watch all sorts of stuff.  Film noir, horror classics, etc.  Later on would catch Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, Monty Python's Flying Circus and The Tonight Show...and the early SNL days when they were good.  Late night had a lot of stuff.  Everybody knew back then the good stuff came on after 10pm, especially on weekends.

Ahhh, the good old days!
