My election night prayer
« on: November 06, 2012, 06:12:52 PM »
Heavenly Father, I pray that your hand guides our nation through this incredibly divisive time. I pray that those enemies who seek to destroy that which You have built would be smote dead by Your mighty and righteous hand. I pray that if You see fit to see them live, that You would visit such a defeat upon them that no one in all the world could mistake Your hand for chance.

Lord, I know that You are a judge of entire nations, and I know that our nation has moved progressively away from you. But I ask that Your grace allow us yet another chance to move the heart of this nation, back to You. I pray that if it be Your will, that Barack Hussein Obama be dethroned and humiliated, and that his name be ridiculed and scorned for the rest of his life. If it be Your will, I pray that Mitt Romney be Your instrument on this Earth that you have made.

In Jesus Name,
Amen.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Thy Will be Done.

Let us not forget that. As bleak as things are tonight, His purpose shall be revealed in due time.

Thank you IDP for your prayer

I have prayed fervently for the past several weeks for this election. Gods will was done I don't understand it but  may he use me for His Glory and that I may be used to help others find Yeshua Jesus......

I have prayed fervently for the past several weeks for this election. Gods will was done I don't understand it but  may he use me for His Glory and that I may be used to help others find Yeshua Jesus......

I prayed as I knew many others were also

my first thought why wasn't it enough--shouldn't it have been enough

But once I got past the disappointment I realized who was praying--the already faithful--maybe they'd gotten a little slack but they were already faithful

the ones we need are those who don't pray now--they think being a "good" person is what matters and to them a good person is someone who "accepts" others, thinks allowing indoctrination by schools is good parenting, that they don't need anyone telling them what to do

Imho, They fulfilled Romans 1........ No amount of prayer directed toward this administration would do any good.

Now it is going to be incumbent on us all to relearn what it means to be God-fearing rather than government-fearing. Ann Barnhardt has done an admirable job of making this point for quite a while now.

So, what does that mean? How do we do it?

For me and my family it means even greater focus on our faith and strengthening our devotion to God...seeking God's will in all we do. There's always room for improvement.

It means being even more particular about where our money goes.

If anyone needs a specific prayer please let me know, otherwise I am going to pray for all of you and your families and of course America.

It makes me feel a lot better being and corresponding with fellow believers and like minded conservatives. Thank you for being here.

Man Tuesday was not a good day for America.

God's Blessings to You.

thanks I need it

I thought I was handling this week better but true be told I'm not.  I'm mad, angry and sad.  I resent those people who voted that man back in.  They don't care if there's death panels that will decide if my mother gets care or if Americans are murdered abroad or if my money is confiscated through so called taxing while others lounge about collecting welfare. I'm disappointed that the promise of trying to right the economy and create jobs didn't resonate with people. They don't see the need when they have what they need right now. They aspire to nothing except maybe that you have less. I knew Romney wasn't going to be the cure-all but I thought at least we might have a chance to avoid the worse of this regime's plans.  Hello, UN treaties and executive orders.  Good bye parental rights and religious freedom.

I see two choices.  Stay and fight or head for the hills.  Head for the hills seems like running and I don't run from a fight.  On the other hand, if I stay and fight and get mowed down by a tank or disappear into a prison what's the point.  I'm not doing my kids much good then.

I think I'm feeling somewhat restless.  When confronted with a stressful situation I usually handle it by doing something.  Pray is a comfort but I need to do something.

Heading for the hills as it were should not be viewed as running away from a fight, it should be viewed in the context of redeploying for strategic advantage.  They will still be coming for us no matter where we are, so why not pick the most advantageous ground from which to protect our way of life?  Certainly it makes sense to be as near others who believe as we do, and where possible such community building should be encouraged, and in areas that make the most overall strategic sense.  I am in the exploration phase, while I downsize my life and prepare to transition out of meaningless pursuits like a traditional job which merely serves the statist beast I loath and swear to destroy, I am now trying to answer the what, where and how questions.  Perhaps we need a thread for brainstorming, we've got ideas right now flying all over a number of different threads, and perhaps a new thread in TEOTWAWKI makes the most sense.

I know in my head it's not running and yes, it's for a strategic advantage.  It was late last night when I was thinking about this.  I guess that comment came from a place of resentment that I have to adapt and change because of "those" people who are takers.

I do believe God will watch over me and my family as long as I stay faithful to Him.  And I also believe that I'm a whole lot smarter than the takers.

Just so.  Live to fight another day.

No problem on the new thread; what's the theme, brainstorming on what in particular?

maybe we need a few

I think we need one specifically on places to live or to avoid

Thank you. And as a matter of fact I do need one. I spent much of my 20s as basically an agnostic or deist. Since then I have seen the light of Christ. I need to be a far better servant of the Lord. Doctrinal disputes confuse and confound me as I try to determine where I belong. Some say theirs is the only legitimate Christian Church, and others say it's theirs. I am faithful that God will not set me astray.
