I'm watching to see if anyone exploits the illegal nature of this senate vote.

You see, there were a number of lame duck senators who were technically ineligible to cast a vote after 12/31/12 - but voted anyway.

Nah - that would be invalidating their precious feeeeeelings and that just wouldn't do.

This Congress' term ends 1/3/13.

Tick, tick, tick .....

BOOM!!!

Boehner and the rest of the Chamberlain's need to be purged or you can kiss any hope of rolling back the drift into tyranny goodbye forever.

Personally I think the notion of a peaceful resolution at this point is DOA, the wise person will prepare for the open rebellion sure to come.

ETA - Ryan for voted for  ::cussing::  and Cantor & McCarthy voted against.

Kline is the only(R) in MN that voted for, find out who in your delegation is one of the 85 Chamberlain's!

Oh, and hope everybody is ready for 2% more payroll tax for FICA, they didn't do anything about that, but no doubt that will be in the grand compromise to come by the end of february, just how much it will cost the pubbies is yet to be determined.  Chances are high they'll pay dearly, so remember these 85, I bet their numbers grow.

He was doing so well there for awhile!  I knew he would vote for this because of the comments he made about "Plan B" a few weeks ago, so I wasn't surprised.

I really think the republican party is dead now. We're headed toward one-party hegemony.

They failed to turn out their base in the presidential election, and their response is to give their base the middle finger.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. The GOP is dead. I won't vote for fund them now even if they are my only choice or hope. Let it burn. Voting for them is voting to give the Democrats their way  in the end.  We have in the past voted GOP out of optimism and the knowledge that they might cause a  delay. Now that we have passed the point of no return, we might as well step on the gas. We need to use  their own weight against them, and let them plunge headlong into the abyss because of a sudden lack of (political) opposition.  I might be in a small  minority, but because of people like me, the GOP  will loose at the National level for the rest of time.  The rest of you can try to keep the GOP alive, or let her go. I will only vote 3rd party from now on- because I think there is a zero % chance that any GOP will ever stand up for our principles - being entrenched in  the system and playing the game. They are traitors just as much as every Democrat, and should share their fates. So  lets help them down that road. Give them what they want and more. Give them time and they will use it to further entrench the police state. We need to force their hand, and make them move too early- and the best part is they will do that on their own if simply given the chance.

Ironically, I am happier than I have been in years.  The political war is over. We lost. Get in your (unregistered)  firefly, live life day to day, take jobs as they come,  and use every opportunity that comes your way to F up the Alliance goons, and hurt those who have supported them. Never Forgive. Never forget. But reading the news or getting angry is pointless now. I can tell you what each and every headline you will read in the next 5 years will say:  "The Democrats get their way again, happiness expected, if it weren't  for those evil meddling kids!"   My head is down and I am concentrating on my own affairs and developing my skills and  my ability to sustain myself. I'll do the best I can till that Fed carrying my Bullet arrives, and now that that Fed's arrival is a foregone conclusion, there isn't any point in worrying about it till he is standing on my doorstep. Knowing the govt, he will take years to show up. I won't even try to guess the offense. No point. They will find something. After all I am a dissenter and I am unwilling to pretend I am not. The actual charges are meaningless - both to me and to them. All I can do is work to protect me and mine in the meantime.

Agreed.  I might vote some people in at the local level that I think stand a chance of being on the right side of history once the fed's start goosesteeping in broad daylight in the hopes of generating some more opposition to the tyrants, but for national elections I am all but done, if I do vote it will be for a third party not some hapless pubbie.  I too am looking to myself and my clan, the GOP should and will die, and the faster the better.  And when the time comes I too will aim to misbehave and torment those who would oppress me!

These are the repubs in the House who voted against the fiscal cliff bill. They need to be targeted for maximum support in their re-election bids. Don't go 3rd party against these folks. They need to be rewarded for their vote; otherwise, why would they listen to us in the first place? if we don't keep supporting them?

Lamar! and Corker, my esteemed Tennessee reps, voted yes.

My old self would skewer them thru e mail, phone call and letter....But I'm not my old self. I'm done. Time to hunker down, do the best I can for my family. No more votes from me.

IIRC, from here, Corker was for it, recanted, then voted for it.  He now will be able to play whichever clip he chooses.

It is time for independent and/or third party candidates to receive support from us and those three million who could not stomach voting for a "reach across the isle".

Those kids supporting Ron Paul were right.

Yep. I think that pretty much seals it for the GOP. They will lose the House in 2014, assuming we have elections then.

My priority now is to get the hell out of the city. What's coming will be harder to deal with inside the urban/suburban concentration camps. Up until even quite recently I was having the typical concerns a person has about advancing my career, moving on to positions of greater responsibility and greater compensation. But it's now clear that those things are phantoms. Everyone under the age of 50 has had their ability to pursue happiness completely destroyed. It's liberating in a way. Now I won't feel like I am setting back my life by taking lesser work in a better area.

Yea, Corker really disappointed me. He was on Fox several times lambasting this thing....then he votes for it. Idiot.

Should be some interesting conversations between me and the Corker supporters...when I see them. I will show no mercy.

Absolutely not.

I do think that upon being offered the choice of a Pubby we should differ to and actively support a third candidate. And also work to spoil the Socialist candidates regardless of party name.

And I am for certain not a Paulinian; however, I would much rather have him as president than current circumstance.

May the republicans who aided this regime in destroying the country and taking total control of government be the very first executed in the loyalty trials.

Here here. So say we all.

Being a Paulbot won't accomplish anything either. Its just something to do till the revolution comes.
