Of course, the real purpose of such spam is to create hyperlinks in as many places on the web as possible so the google-bot feelers find them and increase the search-engine ranking for the sites at the link. So it's all about SEO, or Search Engine Optimization.

That was a funny way to address the spammer, however, my suggestion is to remove the actual links to the site, and change the subject title.  You can put something like:  " MORONS SPAM SITE " without any link to it.  The reason I say so is, because of back links... it is a positive and helpful thing for their site if the links are left in place, in the search engine back tracking world.  I am not really smart enough to explain this, but I do know from experience that when there are many links to a website around the net, it helps that website move up.  Hope this makes sense.

I was on it within in just a few minutes of his registration here and the second thing I did (after banning him) was to alter his links so that they were unusable. I left the post up sort of like a head on a pike at the entrance to our little village.
