What must it be like to be one of these people? When you look in the mirror and say "Yep. I earn my living by harassing 90 year old war heroes at open air monuments, and holding foreign tourists at gunpoint as virtual prisoners in a national park lodge."

Same with the TSA groping people in the airport security theater. At what point is "It's just a job" no longer a mitigating circumstance? I could never treat people the way they do, I have too much of a sense of shame and embarrassment. I can guarantee you the moment the duties of my "job" became "forcefully removing WWII veterans from the memorial" I would quit, or force them to fire me.

Willing to take my whoopin' from the group....But, I think GOP strategy ok.

The debt limit is really meaningless. The real fight and focus needs to STAY on the effort to defund Obamacare. The enstupidification of America is too far along for most voters, let alone most citizens, to focus on all of it. This one line can be drawn and it can be one. Ted Cruz has done a masterful job of articulating the issue.
“My mission today is to go forth and tell people about why I follow Christ and also what the Bible teaches, and part of that teaching is that women and men are meant to be together.

“However, I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.”

I'm having a difficult time discerning exactly what (if any) strategy is being employed by the GOP.

I'm with Cruz, if only because the party will not do what must be done. But beyond that, I don't see a strategy.

The focus on defund, delay, defang Obamacare is the right place to be. Ted is being a leader here. But, it needs to stay focused on the FUNDING side. Opening a battle on the other front is a tactical error. It may be moral, but it will lose in the end. We can raise the debt limit, and still refuse to fund anything that is not good. The power is going out of the Democratic sails. There is really not pain except that which they are manufacturing and even the stupid people are slowly figuring that out.
We must not allow a subject change. Pass the SHORT-Term increase. Then FOCUS on the Funding of one portion of government at a time. Every sick child that is marched in front of a camera for sympathy can have his own bill named after him. Let the Senate block it. Make the President veto it. But, let every American FACE the fact it is the Dems that want suffering. The Dems want us in pain. Their power DEPENDS on it.
This can win and it WILL if we do not let the two issues get tied together. IF we let them get tied up as one issue, I think we lose...badly...again.

Seeing the thugs line up to close open spaces makes me wonder if we won't soon see the reason the guv had to buy all that ammo for agencies that one wouldn't think needed it

I see now that Boehner is offering a short-term debt ceiling increase in exchange for Obama negotiating on the shutdown.

Interesting.

I guess the "job" means more than anything else.  But consider most of them don't know any better.  Go-along-to-get-along is the mantra today and stay with the herd.  From pre-pre-school to grad school people are shepherded from one thing to the next.  There is no independent thinking. There is no shame in doing what the group does!

I also think that many people have never had to make any kind of sacrifices so they don't understand that choice. And people who have sacrificed (seniors) have become so used to the land of plenty they don't want to choose either.

We should be there running shotgun or in my case BAR gun.
If this turns out to be the case with the NG, we really need that armed rebellion, seriously do.

I've read in more than one place that this isn't a legitimate report. There've been a flurry of these lately.

It was cross-posted at RedState and the author freely admits it was intended as satire .... in the comments.

And the problem with Satire and this administration is.. its impossible to do. Its entirely possible that the Boy-King  would attempt this. But its probably easier just to record all of the Commercial truck licenses and have them revoked. You can bet the petty tyrant won't let it go.

Would someone please explain satire to these people?

Exactly the author's point.

But, LV's right; that wasn't satire as properly understood.
