I know the wargame you speak of, forget the guy but IIRC he was a graduate of the John Boyd USMC light-fighting doctrine spawned out of his earlier OODA loop work...the issue with low-tech attacks is a lot more low-cost platforms to absorb the blows and once they're spent their load annihilate them...and for ground forces they may be in a better position for that than the USAF & USN that still focus on big dollar capital ships and top-end planes when they both are in need of fodder for both...otherwise you need to augment with drones to target C&C and take early blows which seems to be the way they are going...
Also, and I tread carefully on this point because there is always levels of awareness...but I find it difficult to believe Mossad did not see some of this coming...I just do not believe that...now is this overt on Bibi's part? The German army asked the German AF NOT to bomb Stalingrad as it made work much harder for the army but they were ignored. Turning Gaza into rubble makes things better for Hamas fighters. I recall the Germans said they were not using the monastery at Monte Casino as a base and asked the allies not to bomb it. It was bombed anyway then they moved into the ruble. It was a hellish fight for the allies.
I recall Grozny involved urban fighting by the Chechens. I think Russia ended up flattening the place. Russia 'won' the last Chechen war by throwing money at the Chechens and letting them do a lot of self rule. It's beautiful today.
Driving out the civilians or turning Gaza into rubble with them there is likely to pull in multiple Israeli enemies all at once. US bases in Syria and Iraq would be fair game for them also in their eyes if we are helping Israel.

I have not dug into the Israeli situation for decades and do not care to go down that rabbit hole. I do not trust the govts or the MSM.
Here are my impressions.
I know nothing about the west bank or the Palestinian Authority. Hamas came from the Muslim Brotherhood and was created or supported by the Israeli govt to split the Palestinians into two factions. Both factions are grifters who skim off much of the money and oppress the populations they are said to represent. I recall Yassar Arafat was kept on life support for a while until his soon to be widow and other grifters could agree on how to split the loot he skimmed. Then they pulled the plug.
I recall Yassar Arafat may have been close to signing some accord arranged by Bill Clinton but backed out at the last minute. Such people say they only want X in English, but tell their people in Arabic that X is only a stepping stone en route to driving the Jews into the sea. They use any land given them for peace to attack Israel.
Gaza is walled to reduce smuggling including weapons. Cement is allowed in but some used to build tunnels and bunkers. Some tunnels into Israel are to funnel fighters to Israel civilian areas.
I recall any moderate candidates in Gaza or West Bank are killed.
Some people ID as left or progressive but seem honest in reporting what they see with their own two eyes. They are not bat sh*t crazy like Rachel Maddow and the like. They did not fall for Russia gate and were skeptical on COVID and the vaxx. They also recognize the Trump Lawfare for what it is. Jimmy Dore was pro vaxx then reported he was vaxx injured and people on the left went crazy. That opened his eyes.

The Duran talked about the UN judicial decision. Alexander was a barrister and he repeated what he said before. Israel really screwed up from a legal standpoint. So I disagree on no good cowboys...which isn't to say Israel has been perfect, but things happen in war...but I agree on Uke skewed coverage but Russia keeps a pretty tight lid on things and I do not believe they're innocent of collateral damage...no war fought ever has been.
And I know all about the USS Liberty incident...Israel admitted they made a bad mistake and I understand the crew point of view...when attacked it doesn't matter who did it the mere fact it was done is seared into their psyches forever, I would have not felt any different and I cannot condemn their anger...the Israelis made monetary settlement with the families and survivors, doesn't exonerate guilt...but not sure what people expect else was going to happen from it...it sucks but again US wanted it to go away to and I think some blame rests in the Navy for not dispatching a destroyer escort with it when getting near a war zone, it was stupid not to. And the Saratoga was 200 miles away to the East. As what happens in a lot of cases like this the REMFs turn inward. As I said, what did people expect, Israeli pilots and sailors hung for murder? Maybe some crew and families would have liked that and again I cannot blame them, but nobody else would have liked that. Plus, this happened during the Six Day War...and calls for US support were largely being ignored with the US not doing much but trying to calm things down diplomatically which is silly. Clearly there was some miscommunication between IDF command and participants in the attack, pilots interviewed later said they were told the ship was Egyptian...the sailors could not identify it...the latter is the hardest one to understand since it was on the top mast I believe.
And it is no surprise Al Jazeera played this up to the hilt...

A series of terror attacks rocked Iran overnight involving gunmen in several locations storming military and police stations, which left at least eleven security service members dead. It happened in the country's restive border province which sits near Afghanistan and Pakistan.
State media detailed on Thursday that at least 16 suspected Sunni militants were killed during the assaults, which took place in the towns of Chabahar and Rask in Sistan-Baluchestan. "The terrorists failed to succeed achieving their goal of seizing the Guards headquarters in Chabahar and Rask," deputy Interior Minister Majid Mirahmadi announced.

JUST IN: Law enforcement has arrested a Fox 7 reporter for "hitting" an officer at the University of Texas after he appeared to rush a DPS trooper.
Video footage shows the man moving towards the group before getting thrown to the ground.
After the incident, the man, who identified himself as 'Carlos' claimed the officers were pushing him and he didn't do anything wrong.

Hamas has rejected an urgent formal plea from world leaders to release all remaining Israeli hostages, with the designated terror group telling the West "you can't force us to do anything."
Earlier on Thursday the US was among a group of 17 countries which have citizens in Hamas custody that released a joint statement calling on Hamas to free them.
This was the first such international joint statement of the conflict, which has run for more than half a year. Prior attempts at similar statements never got past the draft phase as countries had vastly differing perspectives of the Gaza crisis.
"We call for the immediate release of all hostages held by Hamas and Gaza now for over 200 days. They include our citizens," the statement said. "The fate of the hostages and the civilian population in Gaza who are protected under international law is of international concern."
The leaders from the following countries were behind the statement: United States, Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Thailand and the United Kingdom.

Fohlin's arrest—after which she was detained for 11 hours and then charged with "battery of a police officer"—came a week after Columbia University suspended more than 100 students for setting up an encampment in solidarity with Gaza, where more than 34,000 Palestinians have been killed by the U.S.-backed Israel Defense Forces (IDF) since October, and allowed police to arrest them. The mass arrests only served to galvanize students and faculty at Columbia and at dozens of other schools, with more than 400 peoplebeing detained so far.
The American Association of University Professors called the arrest "antithetical to the mission of higher education."
"Our institutions exist to foster robust exchanges of ideas and open dialogue in service of knowledge and understanding," said the group. "Sometimes that includes open dissent. Peaceful campus protests should never be met with violence."
Foreign policy expert Trita Parsi suggested that Fohlin's arrest was among the on-campus incidents that have strained the Democratic Party's argument that "democracy is on the ballot in November."
"To sustain this level of blind support for Israel, the U.S. must erode its own democracy. And that is what we see happening on U.S. campuses now," said Parsi, executive vice president of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, sharing a video of police tasing an Emory student who was already being held down on the ground.

The arrest was misguided, said Gregory Clement, her lawyer.
