On somewhat of a side note, but related because it ties into this petty and vindictive triumphalism that characterizes these....people, but has anyone else noticed that the Obama 2012 stickers seem to have become more common on cars?
I see more of them now than I did in the election season. Alex Jones at Infowars (and say what you want about his oddball tendencies, he's clearly on the side of liberty) calls this their sense of "reflected glory" and I think that is a good way to put it. They luxuriate in "their guy" winning, and not just winning but then running roughshod over the losers. Everything this regime does is a deliberate finger in the eye to traditional America, and his screeching band of flying monkeys are vicariously relishing in it too.
Things are very stratified in this country. It's all personal now. We're in the midst of a classic lead-up to the outbreak of a civil war. The Civil War didn't suddenly just break out in 1861 either. There were decades of disagreements-turned-resentment-turned-hatred before any shots were fired, and the same sort of thing is palpably happening all around us now. I hate the Left. I won't live under their rule. I hold all of them responsible, whether they are actively executing the fundamental transformation or are merely one of the smug enablers.
What's the quote from Shakespeare? So foul a sky clears not without a storm? Oh, it's coming alright.
