Absolutely horrible. Why can't these lunatics ever just kill themselves and be done with it? They always do that in the end anyway. Well, the 2nd Amendment now stands no chance IMO. At the very least the AWB and mag capacity limits are coming back.
-
Precious children, babies whom the world has not corrupted yet, gone at the hand of a freaking sociopath. I have no words... just full of anger and despair.
-
makes me sick
evil is everywhere
-
Reports are now that an entire kindergarten class was murdered. Every single child in the class. Yeah, sweeping new gun legislation is a certainty.
ETA - and yes LV you are exactly right. Evil is the world for it. Demonic evil. This and so many other things lately -- the Aurora shootings, the bath salt cannibals, and on and on. We are a diseased society at the very core.
-
If only there was a law against such a heinous act.
Oh wait, there is: Thou shalt not murder.
Obey that one law, all else is academic.

The same people who were willing to implement "Fast and Furious" are still in charge. Do you think they would stop short of murdering a bunch 5-6 year olds to get their way? (Remember these people believe in taxpayer funded abortion) Feeding some kid a psychotropic drug and pointing them at a school whould be what? Too evil? For them? It could be the stress of the times is bringing this out. Or it could be that they are making the crazy happen. No clear motives have surfaced in the Batman case, nor in the Washington Mall case - but I will tell you what all three of these have in common.. An AR-15.
Worried about your kids? Don't put them in a gun free zone. Demand teachers undergo swat training and be armed at all times so they can protect your children.
-
But Weisshaupt; protecting children from crazed gunmen with deadly force is extremism.

Might I suggest the entire series of Ten Commandments? Starting at the top?
It occurred to me that if one finds it easy to disobey one then obedience to any others is in danger.

Honestly, if I didn't homeschool I'd have a really hard time sending my kids off to school everyday after something like this. But I can't say that outloud. I'd be declared a nut for not being willing to sacrifice my kids to the gods of education who are unable and unwilling to protect them physically and mentally.
-
But I can't say that outloud. I'd be declared a nut for not being willing to sacrifice my kids to the gods of education who are unable and unwilling to protect them physically and mentally.
Izzat so?
Well, I suggest you make several copies of the following piece and hand them out to anyone declaring you "a nut":
http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/12/ending_progressive_public_education.html (http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/12/ending_progressive_public_education.html)
Why do parents willingly (or reluctantly, for that matter) send their own children -- their own future -- to socialist reeducation camps? "From my cold, dead hands," they proudly say of their guns. Are not their children worthy of at least so strong a grip?
-

... hang in there. In '97 when I decided to homeschool my three kids, the things I had said to me, from family members even, were unreal. Now, I'm done, kids all grown and 'out in the real world' and OH MY GOSH how the tables have turned. NOW all I hear is what wonderful adults they are, and how I did such a 'good job', etc... ;) Hang in there. Do what you know to be right and all will be well.
As I'm sure you know: Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Looks like Obongo's wanting to invoke his idea of "coming together" --
An emotional President Barack Obama spoke about the massacre at the White House Friday. Fighting back tears, he said he reacted to the news not just as the president, but as a parent.
“The majority of those who died today are children. Beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10-years-old,” he said. “They had their entire lives ahead of them. Birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own.”
At times, Obama wiped away tears from the corner of his eyes, adding ”Our hearts are broken.”
“As a country, we have been through this too many times,” he said. “These children are our children and we are going to come together to take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this regardless of the politics.”
Not "we must"; "WE ARE". And these are not "our" children, which is to say "his" children; his children look like Trayvon Martin.

The 24 year old mass murderer killed his mother, a teacher at the school, his father at home, and his brother is in custody.
-
The 2nd Amendment was the last thing they needed to dismantle. It's going to finally happen now. Nothing they do will have any impact on evil, because evil hearts always find ways of wreaking sadistic malice (the bow and arrow murder in Wyoming a few weeks back), but we inhabit a world where truth and fact are not a defense. How do you win such arguments, where truth and reality are of no importance?
I am uncomfortable discussing the subject in the wake of things like this, because I don't like the thought of politics coming to the fore as a classroom of kindergartners lie dead. But for the Left, nothing is too unseemly to politicize, so what choice do we have? Why is liberty such a hard case to make anymore? I grow weary of having to constantly wade into arguments we have no hope of winning because they are purely emotion based. The tragedy is real for these children and their parents, most of whom now probably would rather be dead themselves rather than go on after what happened this morning.
But with that said, I am nevertheless filled with dread over the implications. We are about to see the last constitutional safeguard gutted. There are very bad things in store.
-
The 2nd amendment will be gutted but this type of behavior won't stop, cause its never the gun. It's the individual. It's the environment, IMO created by liberal thought, which is the cause.
-
At times, Obama wiped away tears from the corner of his eyes, adding ”Our hearts are broken.”
Obama had been promised that the killer would kill two kindergarten classes, and was disappointed only one was murdered.
As my friend said " If this doesn't result in gun legislation there will be more school shooting until it does"
It matters little if this is because of a deliberate false flag, or simply because liberals have destroyed the society to the point where young men can come to the point where they commit such atrocities. The liberals are at fault because they are immoral and evil through and through. When they try to gut the 2nd, the war will start, just as the English marching on the armory at Concorde started that war.
-

The individual and liberalism is spot on.
Chnese stabbing spree hurts 22 children (http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2012/12/14/china-knife-attack-school.html)
A Guangshan county hospital administrator said the man first attacked an elderly woman, then students, before being subdued by security guards who have been posted across China following a spate of school attacks in recent years. He said there were no deaths among the nine students admitted, although two badly injured children had been transferred to better-equipped hospitals outside the county.
The Chinese will be working on knife collection next.

I cited that on my local forum. One of the Lefties wrote: "at least none of the children died".
Oh. Well. That's okay then; let's ban us some guns.
The world has gone (and I see it running rampant in this formerly sane country of ours) batsht fcking INSANE. Some days, it makes the rest of us -- ::waving:: -- question our own sanity.
-
i wish it was as simple as banning guns.............................
-
Update: father not dead, it was the mother killed in the house.
-
The loss of a child is one of the hardest and most awful things one can go through. I know how much it effected me.
But to see your precious little babies destroyed by such evil breaks and hurts my heart that I cannot commit any further but to say a prayer to my Savior and Lord for the families. I pray I do not have to much to drink tonight.
-
I received the following from robins111 in a PM:
"Please pass on the members of this forum, the assurance, that we, your neighbors to the north, share you sorrow and grief at the events in Newtown. While I understand that all may not share my faith, I will pray, for the victims and survivors of today's events."
On behalf of all of us here, we thank you, sir.

Levin said tonight he will not allow his guns to be taken. He will take them to court. Okay, what did I expect he'd say? What else can or would he say on the air?
I'll tell you this, though; I'm done negotiating my rights with these friggin people.
-
This from a commenter at RS: "Surely we need to have a national conversation first about the most horrific disorder that threatens all of us....LIBERALISM, a mental disorder that threatens not just individuals but an entire nation of 306 million souls."
-
I'm telling you all, this is the one they have been waiting for. This is the one they are going to try to break the 2nd Amendment on. As I said earlier, I don't like even thinking about the political implications because a real crime has occurred here and it is a whole new magnitude of awful, so it seems almost ghoulish to be thinking about how it will effect politics.
Now anyone who tries to defend the 2nd Amendment or resist the coming effort at disarmament is going to be cast as somehow an apologist for the murder of an entire kindergarten classroom. We inhabit a world where the optics, the emotion, the feeling is everything.

I have no doubt that this is true and that they will try but any such attempt will fail.
It's too late.
There are simply too many guns out in the wild now. They may attempt to place a stranglehold on ammo but even that will fail because we hold multiple million rounds already. The notion of disarming Amerika is a pipe-dream. All one must do is look to our neighbors to the north. They gave it about as strong a go as you could, spent billions of dollars, and eventually recognized the folly of it and abandoned their program.
Stay vigilant my friends, and resolute as well, and look them square in the eyes. Don't back down.

-
I agree completely, soup.
-
After this tragedy, the only real hope of the Left is a constitutional amendment banning guns.
Does anyone realistically believe this will happen?
It would make as much sense as starting a movement to outlaw mental illness.

This may sound a little tinfoil, but something about the storyline is beginning to smell. For instance, Fox during an interview, was able to determine that the mother had no connection with the school in question, as such this appears to be a random loon target.. Second, the firearms reported, do not appear to be first choice for self defence, in uber-liberal area like they lived. However, all are the typical issue firearms for Law Enforcement in that area, particularly the Bushmaster carbine. Further to this, little has been said about the new hubby in question, not even his name.. I'm starting to think that there's more being 'not said' than being talked about.. In any other incident, the media would be on the hubby like white on rice..

Pardon me but I thought they said mother was a teacher at school kindergarten. What the hell is going on here? Was there that much misinformation and where is Susan Rice?

Fox did an interview with a member of the school board who, claimed she wasn't a teacher.. My guess, she's Law Enforcement...

Yeah, somethings don't pass the smell test.
Here is a common sense observation from this current event:
“Obviously not well.” In other words, Adam Lanza was nuts. (http://theothermccain.com/2012/12/14/chris-rock-was-right/)
Common sense is quite nearly illegal nowadays and it’s certainly unfashionable in the Obama Age. So the usual liberal dingbats — including the ACLU types who assured us it was “a fearless, independent life style” for a crazy woman to defecate in public on the streets of Manahattan — are telling us we need more gun control.
And I say, no, what we need is more kook control.

So many things are wrong, I don't know where to start or who to believe. I saw a link at AoSHQ making this claim, and when I followed the link, the reference had been scrubbed from their link at ABC News. I had to search for the reference, and found it at several places, but who knows?

Asperger’s syndrome, not the same as Autism or nearly as severe, could be people used the wrong term and some JuroTard ran with it. No doubt more will come out on this.

Tinfoil or not, you're wise to trust your nose.
Instead of simply reporting we have the Journaltards injecting themselves into the story for the sake of an headline or soundbyte. It is for this reason that I am reluctant to post any anything except a condemnation of the crime and a commiseration with the victims.
Oh - and one more little tidbit (just due to the inevitability of it all): as will be revealed in the coming days, there were clues.

Aside from the heinous crime, the most breathtaking aspect of this has been how dreadfully much the media has gotten wrong.
Just off the top of my head...
They blamed the brother Ryan by name for half a day.
They said the rifle was left in the backseat of the car.
They said his mother was a kindergarten teacher at the school, that she was working during the crime, and that she was among the dead at the school.
They said the father had been killed.
They said that an entire class of kindergarteners had been killed, when in fact they were 1st graders.
Just to address the last: imagine the dread of every parent of every kindergartener as they rushed to the school and waited for answers. Imagine the relief of the parents of 1st graders thinking their child was spared, and the subsequent horror of learning that in fact, their child was not spared.
My loathing for the news media - including Fox - could not be more visceral nor more complete.
The media complex is an enemy of the people, and the threat it poses needs to be effectively addressed by determined patriots.

I know that I'm going to hear it fir saying this, but my heart goes out the the families but in the end I thank God it wasn't one of mine.

Every single day smaller, but very personal, tragedies are prevented by the use of a firearm even if merely to display it. But those are never news. Likewise, the rapes and murders perpetrated against people who live in areas where laws deny them the ability to defend themselves, those aren't news either.
I hate the fact that we now live in a world where ephemera and sensationalism are all that is required to enable permanent changes in law, without even so much as a perfunctory period of deliberation. I don't know how far they will be able to go legislatively, but think it's a sure bet that the AWB and mag limits are back. It'll be wet noodle time for the Republicans in the House, after all, how long will they be able to take the insinuations and outright accusations that they are apologists for the guy who murdered an entire 1st grade class?

The much debated question, of course, that is already emerging is whose responsibility is it to limit such access: that of the individual, that of the closest family members, or that of the state, and if it is the latter, then the question becomes one of practical enforceability in a country where the second amendment is deeply engrained in the popular psychology, and where there are nearly as many guns as people.
...
A 1993 nationwide survey of 4,977 households found that over the previous five years, at least 0.5% of households had members who had used a gun for defense during a situation in which they thought someone "almost certainly would have been killed" if they "had not used a gun for protection." Applied to the U.S. population, this amounts to 162,000 such incidents per year. This figure excludes all "military service, police work, or work as a security guard."

Put on the tinfoil hats!
Last night it also emerged Nancy was a member of the Doomsday Preppers movement, which believes people should prepare for end of the world.
Her former sister-in-law Marsha said she had turned her home ‘into a fortress’. She added: ‘Nancy had a survivalist philosophy which is why she was stockpiling guns. She had them for defense.
‘She was stockpiling food. She grew up on a farm in New Hampshire. She was skilled with guns. We talked about preppers and preparing for the economy collapsing.’ (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2248782/High-school-tech-club-student-turned-cold-blooded-executioner-How-classmates-remember-genius-Adam-Lanza.html)
Yeah. No set up here. Just what they needed. What a co-inky-dink.
Oh and that second shooter? Seems to be gone from the news now.. (http://www.infowars.com/newtown-school-shooting-story-already-being-changed-by-the-media-to-eliminate-eyewitness-reports-of-a-second-shooter/)
but apparently he had time to put 3-11 bullets in each of the 26 victims (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2248864/Sandy-Hook-shooting-Autopsy-report-reveals-26-victims-shot-times-EACH.html) so at minumum 25*3 +11 = a minimum of 86 rounds fired. Possible, sure. But that is a lot of drops and loads on two pistols. (or was the rifle used? I still can't tell) Seems like if someone had a gun they would have had an excellent chance to use it while he was reloading.

I know that I'm going to hear it fir saying this, but my heart goes out the the families but in the end I thank God it wasn't one of mine.
Thank God it wasn't one of yours or any of ours. I feel for the innocent children who were murdered, but the likelihood is that most of those parents were totalitarian libtards who who have screamed bloody murder if one of those first grade teachers had a gun in the classroom with which they could have defended themselves and their children. They are the same people who though so little of our rights they they voted to use the government as a weapon to violate them. They are the same people who advocate using taxpayer money to kill children IN THE WOMB! I am saddened by the loss of so many children, but I don't feel one thing for the liberal parents. This is the world they voted for. They deserve every bit of pain God allows to be sent their way.

There is nothing in the slightest wrong or inappropriate with that statement. I thank God that it wasn't one of yours either.

I hate the Left because...because of them my first thought upon hearing about this was the political damage they are inevitably going to do in its name. That shouldn't be the first thought a person has when hearing about a classroom full of 1st graders being murdered, and that is why I hate them -- because they have demonstrated time and again through their past behavior why it is that we are now so conditioned to think in those terms.
I also hate them because I can't immediately rule out conspiracy theories. I mean, we already know as a matter of factual record that they were orchestrating gun running into Mexico, using guns obtained from private gun dealers in America, for the express purpose of outraging the American people with scenes of slaughter committed "because of" the 2nd Amendment. I hate them because I know too well of their incessant nature. Fast & Furious didn't have the desired effect? Well let's try on execution of a 1st grade classroom for size. No, I don't know that this was the result of orchestration. But I can't outright dismiss it as being ridiculous either, and I hate them for it.

Glock old-buddy, old-pal, a friend of mine who is not prone to conspiracy theories has connected the anti-depressant drug dots to several recent and not-so-recent shootings -- Columbine, Gabby Giffords, the Colorado Theatre shooting -- all young men within a certain age-range. He theorizes they're drugged "point and shoots".
On another note, if the gun laws in CT are so strict, how the heck did the mother come by those guns and why don't we already know more about HER?

Sort of reminds you of the first 24 hours of reporting on Benghazi doesn't it ?

And then, there are those intelligent and responsible gun owners who prevent tragedy: http://www.kgw.com/news/Clackamas-man-armed-confronts-mall-shooter-183593571.html (http://www.kgw.com/news/Clackamas-man-armed-confronts-mall-shooter-183593571.html)

Written by another person who gets it .....
"I am a parent. As such, I am deeply saddened by the tragic events that unfolded in Connecticut. Truthfully, I find myself avoiding thinking about all those families who sent their children to school that morning, as if it was just another day. It's just too sad... my mind keeps asking, "What if they didn't tell their child they loved them before the child got on the bus or got dropped off at school?" and "What if the parents were snappy with the kids because the little ones were dragging their feet that morning?" and "What if they didn't have time to read that bedtime story the night before?" It's the little things, you know, that make living so difficult after losing someone close to you. As a parent, I worry about my own children's safety at school, defenseless as they are. And I hold them a little tighter.
I am a teacher. Each day, I report to my classroom filled with children who, though they are not perfect, are MINE when they are with me. Like their parents, I worry for their safety and yes, will bless them out if I see them doing something dangerous. Like their parents, I bandage their little wounds and take their temperature when they don't feel well. Like their parents, I make them wash their hands and wipe their noses and wear coats when they go outside. Like their parents, I dry their tears and try to teach them to be kind to others, but also stand up for themselves. Like their parents, I panic a little when one lags behind or disappears into a bathroom without permission. So many things to take care of in a day, so many little people to tend... but I also have to teach them. And I have to deal with parents who aren't always kind or gracious when their little darlings don't make the right choices at school or don't make the expected grade. And heaven forbid I not post grades on time! As a teacher, I view this tragedy in Connecticut a little differently... I view it more from the teacher perspective. We have drills to practice what to do in these situations, but the reality is that there is only a wooden door with a glass window separating my students from whatever danger awaits them in the halls. I am defenseless. The children are defenseless. And more and more, the crazies of this world are targeting children/schools, probably because we ARE defenseless. Our school recently had one of these drills... as I sat in the dark with my students huddled in a corner of the room, I thought, "Gosh, this is sad. Huddling in the corner is very little protection." And I found myself playing out different scenarios in my mind. What if someone came in the door? How could I stop him? Could I hit him with something? What? Could I hide behind the door and stab him in the neck with a pencil? I know this sounds ridiculous, but this is seriously what went through my mind. I have 23 students in my care and I really can't do more for them than lock a door and push them in a corner. I suppose I would be like that principal in Connecticut who died trying to overtake the gunman. I could not stand there living and allow even one of my students to be shot. I would have to be dead or gravely injured before that could happen. I worry... I worry...
I am a gun owner. I have my very own weapons at home, it's true. I come from a military family. We always had guns. I married a gun-owner. Together we own both handguns and long guns. Yes, many different guns because (as one member posted) different guns have different uses. The only thing our guns have ever killed is an occasional deer and one mean old rooster that attacked my children. Our guns enjoy hanging out in their locked cases. They are hermits, really, rarely making an appearance, except for cleaning and target practice. Most legal guns are like this. I don't really support more gun laws... I mean, meth is illegal but people get it anyway. Making guns illegal will only keep them out of the hands of the good people. The crazies will still get them. My dad used to say "Locking a door is only keeping the honest people out." To me, gun laws are only keeping guns out of the hands of the honest people. This tragedy strikes me differently as a gun owner. First, it definitely makes me want to double-check the security of my weapons. I don't some crazy person getting their hands on my weapons. Also, it makes me worry about knee-jerk legislation coming from such an event.
As a parent, teacher, and gun-owner, I worry about our legislation making schools "gun-free" zones. Like my lock on my door, that only keeps the honest people out. My father, a very knowledgeable, experienced, and responsible gun-owner, when he comes to school to pick up my children, has to leave his weapon at home even to pull into the pick-up line. While I understand that, I worry about the potential for these uninterrupted massacres. Everyone knows there are no resource officers in our elementary schools. Everyone knows it is illegal to bring a weapon onto school grounds. Everyone knows children and teachers (and other school personnel) are completely defenseless. Everyone knows. Most people would never take advantage of that. But a crazy would... And then it's too late. In this recent tragedy, teachers used their bodies to shield children -- what a puny effort, but it was all they could do. And I would do the same. A female principal was killed trying to physically overtake an armed man. Puny effort. Almost laughable, except that it was heroic and tragic and beautiful. One cannot laugh at this woman's attempt to protect the people in her school. It was all she could do. She gave all she could. How sad is that? How sad that we, as educators, are entrusted with these children to teach and protect, yet we have no way to protect them. It sickens me to think how unprotected we are in the schools. Anyone could walk in the front door of any school in the county and wreak this kind of havoc. That's the honest truth. It hasn't happened here... yet. I fear for my children. I fear for my students. I fear for my colleagues. I fear for myself. We are sitting ducks. And yet, Monday morning, I will put a smile on my face, enter my classroom, and teach those children, protecting them as best I can. With my life, if that's all I have...
I leave you with this parting thought: Friday night, I had a dream (I really did!) that a gunman was in my school, but somehow I was legally allowed to have my gun. It was strapped on my person in a shoulder holster. After having my students huddle in the corner, I positioned myself with my weapon to guard the door. When the gunman entered, I shot him. The end."

If Republicans were smart, they would immediately introduce legislation to eliminate "Gun Free Zones", and make the case for their elimination.
It is an easy, easy case to make. All they would have to do is be willing to demagogue the dead children...
[blockquote]"Imagine for a moment that one or more of the brave individuals in the front office of that school were armed with their own concealed weapon, and trained in its use. Well not only were they not armed, they were prevented from being armed, because of the Democrats. The deaths of these children lay squarely on the Democrats placing restrictions and conditions on the law-abiding practice of our sacred 2nd Amendment constitutional right to defend ourselves and the innocent from evil."[/blockquote]
Why not preempt the demagoguery that is sure to come from the Left? Use the children to illustrate the destructiveness of one of the Left's "conditions" on the 2nd Amendment.
Of course, they will not do it. They will lie supine on their backs, ears folded down, exposing their bellies while the Democrats kick them.

Anything similar to the narrative I posted above would do; "imagine yourself in a position where you had 23 children to protect and all you had was a flimsy door and a chair! YOU people helped a nut kill twenty kids and kept the adults from saving them!"
Even the presence of one "resource officer" is an almost useless layer of protection once he is rendered dead or ineffective.
Tell the Left that in some cases, it DOES take a village .... of armed and cognitive adults.

But you know what I do remember?
YOU were there.
YOU, with your enormous video cameras.
YOU, with your microphones poking into the
bubble of grief that grew bigger as we waited
for our parents to find us.
YOU, with your horrible questions about what
had happened, had we known Mike, had we seen
anything? No parents there yet, just children.
No teachers, just children. And you.
Some of us screamed at you to leave us alone.
Some of us answered your sick questions,
because you were the grown-ups, and we were the kids.
I don’t even know how you got there so fast, before
our parents, before anyone else could swoop us back
inside and ask you to leave. But there you were,
with your vans and your lights, asking us how it felt
to know that another child had been killed. How it felt
to be scared. How it felt to wonder about the names of
everyone else, to be desperately hoping for more
information, while feeling terrified about what the
truth would really be.
I remember you. I remember your names.
I remember what channel you were from.
I remember that you filled the parking lot at Mike’s
funeral. You stood in a line outside of the door,
devouring the footage of crying football players running
away from the service, like rabid hungry wolves.
You replayed the video of Mike being loaded into the
ambulance, over and over and over again, even when
people wrote to you and asked you to stop.

I told my wife Friday night that a tornado could have gone through New Town and killed 100 people . And yes , it would have been a tragedy . But it would have been far easier to explain and understand . This sort of thing I'll never understand . :'(

Wretchard explains it here (http://pjmedia.com/richardfernandez/2012/12/15/the-shadow-in-the-hallway/): You don't understand it because you're sane. You're sane because you recognize reality, and the reality is there is good and evil. I *think* I got it right.

Comments like the one article that Weisshaupt posted about 3-11 shots in each body, two-pistols and an AR (which we are not yet sure even left the vehicle) and "tapping mags" together allowed faster reloads...this does not sound like anything within the natural ability of a functioning dysfunctional person, it sounds like someone behaviorally programmed to go on a killing spree when activated. There are too many inconsistencies with this story and I sincerely doubt we will ever know the full truth, but any way you cut it this loss of life is 100% owned by the liberals and their view that everybody with a gun is a ticking time-bomb waiting to slaughter innocents (except those duly authorized in government service of course)! If just one person in that school was allowed to carry this asshat cold have been dropped with much less loss of life incurred. But no, let the demonization of guns and gun owners rule the day, one cannot waste a good opportunity to further enslave Americans into full obedience to the state, that goal must not be allowed to fail.
I hate this, I hate everything about this story!

Interesting perspective here on how school shootings need to be prevented with the same mentality that has resulted in zero deaths from fire in an American school for the past 50 years.
http://www.policeone.com/active-shooter/articles/2058168-Lt-Col-Dave-Grossman-to-cops-The-enemy-is-denial/ (http://www.policeone.com/active-shooter/articles/2058168-Lt-Col-Dave-Grossman-to-cops-The-enemy-is-denial/)
Note particularly point 5-G at the end:
"g. Armed citizens can help. Think United 93. Whatever your personal take on gun control, it is all but certain that a killer set on killing is more likely to attack a target where the citizens are unarmed, rather than one where they are likely to encounter an armed citizen response."
-
Sorry, Glock, but "meh". Grossman includes armed civilians last, but truth be told, we are the first line of defense -- always. And the schools are militarized enough already in an official sense. If we could the slap the denial out of the sheep to whom we turn over "our" children, we wouldn't need the damned SWATted up cop on the premises.
-
Yeah I know. I just figure we are already too far gone for that. We here on this forum are a tiny anomaly. The mass majority of citizens, even purported conservatives, are fully conditioned to look to "authorities" for all answers. I guess I am grasping for any alternative to throw at them other than the inevitable "for the children" omnibus bill we are sure to see.
Maybe the end is finally upon us. Disarming the citizenry is the final check box.

They're not getting my guns, my mags or my ammo. They can wave all the omnibus bills around they want. I'm organizing a meet-up of gun-rights people in my county (via the local forum) to brainstorm the big, fat NO we're going to deliver to the grabbers.
We've used reason, logic and common sense, the Constitution and history and still they keep coming after the guns. I just had one of them suggest that *maybe* it's us gun-nuts who are insane. Not unexpectedly, either.
Time to just say NO.
Next up: their move. And I've told them that twice now. Response? >>crickets<<

They are the same people who advocate using taxpayer money to kill children IN THE WOMB!
The daily murder of 3000 babies by abortion in this country is a thought not far from my thoughts about those 1st graders.
If any one of their mothers 6 or 7 years ago would have decided to abort them pre-birth a good number of people would have been ok with that.
I think this event has shown the requirement of locking schools and requiring visiters to check in at the office doesn't stop anything. At our local high school there are retired people who "man" all entrances and make sure visiters are directed to the main entrance to check in during the morning arrival. One time I went in to pick up a PSAT form for my daughter and completely missed the check in table. I went upstairs and down the hall to the main office unmolested. At the office I was directed to another office (student affairs) to get the form. There is absolutely no situational awareness at this school. I stopped several students and a teacher when I got lost and not one could tell me where the student affairs office was. I found it on my own. There are several thousands students on this campus. Another time I went there and there was no one manning the visiter check in table. The third time I went there I had to sign in and get a name tag that read "visiter".
When I think of arming teachers I think of my daughter's friends who are teachers and who carry (not at school of course!) and I'd be for them to carry in school. Then I think of the Detriot and Chicago teachers I've seen on the news and I think...hmmmm...do I want someone armed who can't even teach the grade level they're assigned to? Maybe if it was required for teachers to be proficient all the lib teachers would quit and some better teachers could be hired. Somehow I suspect anyone who can handle a gun responsibily wouldn't care all that much about gender diversity, etc.

It's like the whole "revenue" debate. It's not about increasing revenue to the government, because if it were then they would actually lower tax rates. Increasing the tax rates, particularly in this weak economy, is actually much more likely to cause revenues to decrease. It's been about social engineering from the start.
Same thing with "gun control". It hasn't a damn thing to do with safety, and everything to do with giving the government more power to disarm the citizenry. If it were about safety, they would do away with victim disarmament zones and let responsible adult staff carry on campus.
The common thread in almost all of these shootings is that the perpetrator killed himself, but only once he was finally confronted with an armed responder. I found out only this morning that a man with CCW confronted the shooter in the Oregon mall, and that's when the perp killed himself. Gee, why was that rather important piece of the story missing all this time?
I'm just demoralized. The Left has been getting everything they want, conveniently while Obama is in office. How is it a minimal majority is always a sweeping mandate for them, yet in all the years the GOP controlled both houses of Congress and the White House they continued to behave as a minority party? Sick of everything. More than anything I am sick of the slack jawed, mouth breathing morons who are our "fellow Americans". I could not be more disgusted with this bunch of farm animals bleating for a Strong Man.

That piece of info is detrimental to the further enslavement of those slack-jawed mouth-breathers we so loath and detest. It just convinces me more than ever that severing ourselves from the doomed herd and the wranglers leading them over the cliff is really the only sensible play we have.

Well, here's the plan "tiredofbs" endorses:
"I read a great article today about weapons’ sales.
Among other things, it advocated taxing the sh** out of buying weapons that are not used for hunting or other legitimate uses (yes, I believe there are legitimate reasons to own guns). The article made the analogy to smoking, which made sense to me. Don’t ban the harmful substance, but make people pay a lot if they choose to partake. For sure, tobacco use has decreased with this approach, and perhaps it could work with arms purchases as well."
They. are. so. pushing it. And they are so very, very stupid. You'd have to wonder if they can cipher at all; a Black Market in cigarettes would be nothing compared to guns and ammo.

Ahh, yes, the old "hunting or other legitimate uses" fallacy. The overriding purpose of the 2nd Amendment was to guarantee that citizens have access to arms suitable for use against the state, should it prove necessary.
I simply do not want to coexist with these people. Since the feeling is almost certainly mutual, we could avoid a lot of future difficulty by splitting The Empire.

We have the weapons so we can defend our rights against those who would take them- be it the state or this jerk. Defending our rights is a legitimate use - including our right to have the tools to make that defense possible.
They will never accept a split. You must be one with the herd or killed. Every totalitarian movement has been supported by the left for this reason. They can't coexist with anyone that asserts the individual does not exist for the good of the collective.

Couple of examples where armed citizens put an early end to shooting sprees:
http://www.volokh.com/2012/12/14/do-civilians-armed-with-guns-ever-capture-kill-or-otherwise-stop-mass-shooters/ (http://www.volokh.com/2012/12/14/do-civilians-armed-with-guns-ever-capture-kill-or-otherwise-stop-mass-shooters/)
Regardless of whether it's an armed citizen or the police, the common denominator is that it's the confrontation with an armed responder that makes the perpetrators commit suicide. They go into it knowing they are going to die, but only when they are finally confronted by an armed person. Prior to that, as long as they have defenseless victims at hand they are going to keep killing.
This is a rehash of the post-9/11 debate about whether or not airline pilots should be armed. It seemed self-evident to me then and now that pilots should be armed. And indeed many of them are, now. Have any of the liberals' dire warnings come to pass? Has there been a rash of accidental discharges from bored pilots twirling pistols cowboy-style? I am aware of only one incident where a pilot improperly stowed the pistol and had a negligent discharge while parked on the tarmac.
Likewise in Israel, a country more familiar than any other with the targeting of massed civilians by suicidal lunatics. Teachers and staff at schools there are armed, and school field trips typically include parent chaperones who are also armed. What is the harm in having teachers or administrators, who already have a CCW and carry it everywhere else, in doing so on campus? Read the Volokh link above. An assistant principal in Mississippi ended a school shooting by retrieving a pistol from his car and confronting the shooter.

The problem with them, Glock, is that reasoning, applied logic, examples, common sense, negotiating -- none of it works. We've tried it all and they just refuse delivery of the information.
What I have found stops them dead in their tracks, well, at least on one track at a time, is this:
"We are NOT negotiating our right to keep and bear any further; it stops right here. The answer is NO".
"THE ANSWER IS NO. Your move."
And I'm beginning to believe it's the only response we have, or need, to all the rest. We tell them, the legislators, the pundits, the mouthpieces, the newsies, "NO. Your move".

I must confess to having fun with the "good cop/bad cop" games with those witless fools.

Well , you know how Democrat "promises" work out .

I want to see somebody with brains and a set to promise to lift bans on people from defending themselves and a removal of those retarded "This building bans guns" signs and the citizen-disarming laws that back all that crap up! All those signs and laws say to bad people is "Come on in, we're intentionally helpless and ripe to be plucked"!
I have a feeling a lot of people are going to say screw the concealed carry laws and do it anyway , especially if they find themselves going into a relatively unsafe environment . I know that I would ... and have .

I say the right response to these anti-constitutionalist gun-confiscating Nazi pricks is to taunt the crap out of them! Demonize them and their evil which causes more deaths than otherwise would occur in a free soceity if they would just back the fvck off!

These leftist asshats should be more concerned about banning vehicles than guns, oops, they want to get rid of them too, but for bogus global warming and pollution reasons, not real reasons like THEY KILL PEOPLE! Oh, and the Mr.Yuck campaign, must be failing, look at all the poisonings! And clutziness, who knew clutzes ranked third in fatalities, WE MUST BAN CLUMSINESS! Oh, and not to be dismissive of the loss of life of six and seven year old children, at least the all-compassionate State allowed them to live that long, while over the decades we have seen tens of millions of babies tossed into the trash! Talk to me about COMPASSION and SAFETY fothermuckers?!
And asshats should remember one thing...WE outnumber THEM!

From the ACLU website (http://www.aclu.org/organization-news-and-highlights/aclu-history-mental-institutions) where they proudly proclaim:
The ACLU's most important Supreme Court case involving the rights of people with mental illness was filed on behalf of Kenneth Donaldson, who had been involuntarily confined in a Florida State Hospital for 15 years. He was not dangerous and had received no medical treatment. In a landmark decision for mental health law in 1975, a unanimous Supreme Court ruled that states cannot confine a non-dangerous individual who can survive on his own, or with help from family and friends.
Sounds good until you realize that "non-dangerous" must be litigated every single time so the default action is to let everyone go.
Which they did in 1980. A lot of mental institutions marched their unclaimed "non-violent" patients down to the local Greyhound bus terminal, picked a destination at random and away they went on a fantastic journey.
Coincidentally, this is the time that the "homeless" problem turned up.
Post 1980 SCOTUS decision it is now extremely difficult to involuntarily institutionalize anyone. The threshold that seems to be accepted by the state is commission of a violent act. This "closing of the barn door after the horse is out" mentality has resulted in countless news videos of friends and neighbors of violent nut jobs saying that they always knew there was something wrong with the shooter and not understanding why he hadn't been locked up a long time ago.
So, yeah, blame the guns. Only the ACLU (and not a few Democrat politicians) would be proud of a decision that turns thousands of mentally ill people loose on society. Best case is that these derelicts annoy people by standing around soliciting for drug money. Worst case is these people commit violent acts and kill lots of innocent people for no apparent reason. In between those extremes you have a lot of "homeless" people who die outdoors in the elements or who are raped, murdered or otherwise victimized by evil people.
-
You know it's never well-adjusted, tax-paying, employed people doing these killings. Usually they pretty quickly identified as "nuts". So perhaps we should just ban nuts. And let the well-adjusted, tax-paying, employed people keep their guns they've responsibly acquired.
And why hasn't the media talked about how these are mostly white, loner men? And how has our current culture emasculated men. And how our PC-culture has left mentally ill people to wander unhelped.
I think that many of the garden variety left (not the power elite ones--more like my neighbors) are just afraid of guns. And rather than confront their fears they think if they just get everyone to give up guns and hug it out they won't have to deal with security as a mature adult. They don't want to have to "deal with it" and be responsible--to make a (life or death) decision. They just want to make it all go away.
-
LV - I made that exact assertion elsewhere and was met with contempt and immediate dismissiveness.
Since the proximate cause is mental illness (in my estimation) and firearms are only the methodology, why not look to the root? The reason is the same as the reason for so much of America's dysfunctionality - personal responsibility and the Santa Claws syndrome. Whatever our problems, failures, or flaws, we expect someone else to pay for it.
It is looking like Lanza had serious mental health issues. Issues that, for whatever reasons, the mother couldn't or wouldn't address. She paid the ultimate price for her neglect. And she consigned those dear children, along with their misguided chaperons to that same fate. I have read reports that school officials including the principal who allowed Lanza access were aware of his problems.
Great Googly Moogly people - we pay these folks to make these decisions! When (one) creates a "gun-free zone" the people in charge of the facilities within those zones become primarily responsible for the safety of everyone within the zone. I don't GAS if they like it or not but if I am not allowed to carry a weapon and defend myself the principal becomes responsible for protecting me and mine. The principal failed. Miserably. Devastatingly.
In the final analysis, when decisions need to be made I am supremely confident that the left will make the wrong ones. That is why I will no longer (and haven't for a very long time) allow myself to be herded by the left. I'm ruefully thankful that I no longer have to subject my child to the fascists. And I'm profoundly concerned for the fate of millions of vulnerable children who remain at the mercy of the idiotic left.

Am I the only one with an agitated spouse waiting for that Survivor finale...having to sit through a stuttering clusterfluke "Wellstone" the memorial?
We can’t tolerate this anymore. These tragedies must end. And to end them, we must change. We will be told that the causes of such violence are complex, and that is true. No single law - no set of laws can eliminate evil from the world, or prevent every senseless act of violence in our society.
But that can’t be an excuse for inaction.
I have a feeling SCoaMF isn't advocating to start institutionalizing the mentally ill again, nor is he calling for armed guards at school entrances.
In the coming weeks, I will use whatever power this office holds to engage my fellow citizens - from law enforcement to mental health professionals to parents and educators - in an effort aimed at preventing more tragedies like this.
Never let a crisis go to waste.

Hey dipsh*t, if there are automatic weapons on the streets, that's the police and criminals, please feel free to disarm them both, dickhead!
And lot's of guns and bullets on the streets in banger hands, your laws against citiziens have only killed more citizens, ignorant tool!

“The NRA needs to state the case why assault weapons are needed by anyone,” he claimed. And after that, he told one poster that “a Glock pistol qualifies as an assault weapon.”
The former is BS you Nazi-f**ktard, we need it to protect ourselves from you, Obama, and the rest of the Nazi-f**ks in government! Our Founders knew you asswipes would eventually come along, so they are to rid ourselves of you anti-constitutional/anti-American assholes!
As to the latter, you are beyond a dunce. But those too are to protect ourselves from YOU! ;)

By most estimates there are 80-100 million gun owners in this country. So on any given day, that's 100 million people who hurt nobody. I consider that a stark testament to the decency and responsibility of gun owners, rather than a supposed "awash with guns" Old West mentality we are accused of having.
I think one of the reasons there is such consternation on the pro-2nd side is that we all know, at some level, that things like this fall under the "sh*t Happens" category and nobody wants to be the one to make that uncomfortable assertion because then you're suddenly the monster. I don't mean that to sound callous, but if you objectively look at the statistics, there is no great overriding crisis or pandemic. I would venture to say that on a daily basis there are more children killed by domestic violence or other criminal acts.
This is going to be a tough one to hold the line on. It punched all the right emotional buttons for our unthinking population, and I am afraid no amount of reasoned analysis or presentation of facts will be able to penetrate through the "but we have to Do Something™" shields.

Yes, they are counting on the fact that the emotionalism over losing little kids stifles the debate. I would throw it on them and ask where was their state-sponsored compassion toward aborted babies discarded merely because it was a personal and/or economical hassel to birth and care for them!

If Canadian Muslims were lobbing rockets across the border targeting Jewish school children, these same assholes calling for our weapons would refuse to make a moral judgment.
This is not about guns or dead children. It is about using dead children to disarm the citizenry so that they can go full-on totalitarian like we all know they want to.

This is going to be a tough one to hold the line on.
Glock, I think the only way to do it is to maintain the stance of constantly reminding everyone if the principal and teachers had been armed there would have been less loss of life. That shifts the debate. Even a far weaker "have an armed guard at the front door" shifts the debate.
If we get caught up in defending our guns then we lose.

This is especially relevant since we know that the female principle attempted to bull-rush the kid, and was cut down by gunfire for her valiant effort.
It is an easy picture to paint. Heroic female principle throwing her body at armed assailant vs heroic female principle firing off a shot from a position of cover before he knows she's there.
The difference is that one requires unnecessary self sacrifice, and in this case, was proven futile.

Unless someone else has more information, no, it wasn't. Some report say the children were shot multiple times each with the rifle, but that has not been confirmed. In any case, if that's so, how did it come to be found in the car's trunk?
There is much about the conflicting reports and lack of confirmed facts that is really troubling about this whole business. What is being hidden?
-
And what of the initial reports of an accomplice? The media screw up so many facts on everything they report, mainly out of their zeal to shoehorn an emerging story into a particular ideological narrative. They are beneath contempt.
-
The medical examiner said a couple days ago that every single fatality was injured by multiple wounds from .223.
That said, I have no idea where the AR in the trunk thing came from. As I posted earlier, the list of things the media f**ked up in the first 24 hours is at the very best, malfeasance.

What does the Left do? They go on offensive. We need to do the same.
Tell them not only NO, we're not ceding another goldam inch, but we want the teachers and the principals armed. NOW.
Actually, this was the point of my earlier post about the ACLU and SCOTUS flooding the zone with previously institutionalized mental patients (the now infamous homeless people) and thereby preventing any post 1980 mentally ill person from being institutionalized unless they have already proven that they are violent.
The ACLU (and the left) need to be confronted with the consequences of their actions.
Should all mentally ill persons be locked up? No, of course not...there are obvious differences between the merely neurotic and the psychotic. But the SCOTUS case won in 1980 by the ACLU makes committing any mentally ill person to an institution involuntarily almost impossible. So, it doesn't happen. Until they shoot up a school or whatever.
The left wants to have a "national conversation" on guns. We should be demanding a national conversation on the "rights" of mentally ill persons. We should be pretty much demanding that schizophrenics, especially paranoid schizophrenics, be involuntarily institutionalized. We should be demanding that anyone judged to be a psychopath or sociopath, regardless of their violent tendencies, history or lack thereof, be involuntarily institutionalized. So we should be going on the offensive with (loud, demanding and offensive) calls for locking up the nut jobs in our midst.
And I'll even go one further. If it is acceptable for the left to attack the 2nd Amendment then it should be perfectly acceptable for the right to selectively attach the 1st Amendment via ultra-violent movies. Is this something that I believe is a causative agent? No, but if they can make trouble for me then I am entitled to make trouble for them and be just as preposterous doing so. We should be going on the offensive with this.
I could make the same argument over abortions. When we, as a nation, sanction the killing of the innocent via abortion, how different is it, really, to shoot kindergarteners? In my mind it is a difference with little to no distinction. Legal and easy abortion is creating a morality free society when it comes to the valuation of life in general. So...why not go on the offensive with that?
We have got to get out of the habit of immediately going on defense.
EDIT:
Rich Lowry at NRO (http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/335869/act-mental-illness-rich-lowry) says, in part, and much better than I did:
We may never know what the dynamic was in the Lanza home. For too many parents of the mentally ill, though, it goes something like this: Their child becomes withdrawn, delusional, and erratic. If they call the mental-health system, they are told to bring the child in for an appointment and the sick child won’t go. If the parents call the cops, the cops show up and say the child doesn’t appear to represent a threat to himself or others and they leave. If they take him to the hospital, he is quickly released back to the parents even if he is admitted. The choice might become living with a deteriorating child increasingly out of his mind or forcing him out of the home and into the streets.
Yes, this is 21st-century America. Where we have better means to treat mental illness than ever before, but choose to let the insane people decide to get it or not. Where we supposedly deinstitutionalized the mentally ill by closing down psychiatric hospitals, and then reinstitutionalized them behind bars. The number of psychiatric beds on a per capita basis is back at 1850 levels, and there are three times as many seriously mentally ill people in jail or prison than in hospitals, according to the Treatment Advocacy Center. Where we let sick people sleep on the streets. About a third of homeless men and two-thirds of homeless women are seriously mentally ill. Imagine the national outrage if people with Alzheimer’s were permitted to wander around the streets uncared for. But, by some perverse logic, it’s considered okay for schizophrenics.
No, that's what passes for left wing policy these days and it's the new normal. Up is down. In is out. Same sh*t, different day.

Yes, Trap, I'd love to see the debate thrust into those quarters, and I think the abortion angle is especially vulnerable for the Left, where is the compassion and concern for life there, eh?

FYI - Only 200 showed up on NRA doorstep. And I bet 175 were media people.

No news of any arrests, must be a free speech thing, eh? Well here's free speech - Loomis the Tard is wrong, the Left killed those children! The school promised to educate those kids in a safe environment, don't they tell us schools are a "safe zone", no guns allowed, simple, right? Oops, a bunch of kids were gunned down! I guess somebody there blew it and failed to keep kids safe, the school district should be sued into non-existence for failing to arm school officials or hire armed guards, they are negligent, the policies of the Left regarding the treatment of mentally unstable failed, the policies of the Left to protect these declared "safe zones" failed, the unions did nothing to protect kids or their own members, THEY ALL FAILED!!!
It is your head Mr. Loomis that should be on a stick, with every leftist idiot like you lined up in pretty little rows!
Oh, and another angle on the asshat unions - “Firearms have absolutely no place in our schools"
http://weaselzippers.us/2012/12/17/teacher-union-chief-sandy-hook-shooting-proves-teachers-shouldnt-have-guns/ (http://weaselzippers.us/2012/12/17/teacher-union-chief-sandy-hook-shooting-proves-teachers-shouldnt-have-guns/)
Then you and your union and all its members are guilty before the fact of endangering kids and teachers to certain death because criminals DO NOT CARE ABOUT RESPECTING YOUR EMPTY WORD "SAFE ZONES"!!!

It also occurs to me that this is yet another example of the Left's time honored tactic of "agitate for policy that creates a brand new problem, then cite that problem as justification for further expansion of government"

From the article
- Initial reports that a “second gunman” arrested in the woods behind the school was involved in the massacre were later dropped without explanation.
Because that second person was the shooters handler and told the shooter that he would be watching and if anything didn't go as planned that people he loved would be harmed. The cops released him after he showed his DOJ badge. Of course I'm just guessing at all of this.

Lanza was nuts.
Lanza is the reason for his parents divorce.
Lanza was jealous of the time his mother spent at SH school.
Lanza's mother was in the process of having him committed.
Lanza smashed his hard drive destroying plan information.
Lanza shot up the class his mother spent time with.
He was nuts and his mother could not have him immediately committed. I believe the following information came from trap:
ETA: Yes, this (http://itsaboutliberty.com/index.php/topic,7350.msg85892.html#msg85892) is the the (http://itsaboutliberty.com/index.php/topic,7350.msg85892.html#msg85892) to it: http://www.aclu.org/organization-news-and-highlights/aclu-history-mental-institutions
Commentary:
Sounds good until you realize that "non-dangerous" must be litigated every single time so the default action is to let everyone go.
Which they did in 1980. A lot of mental institutions marched their unclaimed "non-violent" patients down to the local Greyhound bus terminal, picked a destination at random and away they went on a fantastic journey.
Coincidentally, this is the time that the "homeless" problem turned up.

T'was 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38 when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy; they didn't know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
“Where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
“This is heaven" declared a small boy. "We’re spending Christmas at God's house.”
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
And in that moment was joy that only heaven can bring,
those children all flew into the arms of their King.
and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
And as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."
Then He looked down on earth, the world far below,
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe.
Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
“Let My power and presence re-enter this land!
“May this country be delivered from the hands of fools
“I’m taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
“Come now my children let me show you around."
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran,
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
“In the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."
This is making the rounds. I wasn't able to find the author's name.

Of course he isn't, because some stupid, stupid people cannot and will not distinguish between a gun in the hands of a good guy and one in the hands of a bad guy -- "We cannot allow guns around the children!" -- so what's the friggin point?!

I also suggest we link the "Arm the teachers!" meme with the "Arm the pilots!" discussion following 9/11. In both scenarios you have basically hundreds of defenseless people contained in a kill zone. I don't care what any leftist morons say, in such a scenario your only chance is if one or more of those people are not so defenseless after all. There is no magical uninventing of firearms, no omnipresent police. The only chance is when would-be victims are able to do more than simply hurl their bodies at the perpetrator.

Under current Texas law, school districts can grant written permission for employees to carry firearms on campus. Harrold ISD, a district in northwest Texas with roughly 100 students, allows teachers to carry concealed handguns under what they call a "Guardian Plan," set up in the wake of the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech.
David Thewatt, the district's superintendent, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that his district did not want a plan where you "lock yourself in your closet and hope that an intruder won't hurt you." As with Villalba's proposal, employees there must be approved by the school district in order to carry a concealed firearm.
http://www.texastribune.org/texas-education/public-education/rep-villalba-allow-teachers-carry-concealed-guns/ (http://www.texastribune.org/texas-education/public-education/rep-villalba-allow-teachers-carry-concealed-guns/)
And the key is concealed! Like the Air Marshalls they are most effective when would-be perp's don't know who is packing. Other than being required to carry concealed and getting permission from the district the only other requirement is that they must use frangible rounds.
Nobody in the MFM is talking about TX and safely carrying in schools...and it is NOT by accident! It is a deliberate act of obfuscation so their gun-grabbing agenda is the ONLY agenda to be accepted!
Damn them, damn them all to Hell!

People that helped create the kill zones in the first place don't want to acknowledge their complicity nor can they openly accept a situation that will cause their puny little proglodyte heads to implode...they would rather see somebody else be the gun bearer and leave them free to indoctrinate their wee charges on the many evils guns visit upon society...

Two officials who have been briefed on the Newtown, Conn., investigation say Lanza wanted to top Breivik’s death toll and targeted nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School because it was the “easiest target” with the “largest cluster of people.”
Yes, how strange is it that a psychotic killer would target a building that bans guns? Can't he read?

How many babies died in Gosnell's office. Obviously we should outlaw abortion if it can prevent one such massacre. If we can ban guns despite the 2nd amendment and the inalienable right to bear arms if it saves just one child then obviously we should ban abortions which are not specially listed as a right in the Constitution, and where the dead tool far exceeds that of Sandy Hook. Hell, this massacre was federally funded.

How about a shirt with one abortion for every fifty million that has occurred since 1973 SCOTUS invented right? ::rockets::

The death toll of libiots far exceeds anything else, wars since the end of WWII included.

",,, a group billing itself as the Third Way, along with an "uber strategist" from the 1992 Clinton campaign, is helping the Newtown families project their grief onto law-abiding gun owners who have never harmed anyone.
After boarding Air Force One with President Obama last week to bring their message of stricter gun control to Washington, relatives have gone from a support group to full-fledged lobbyists. If that's not worrisome enough, the hired guns behind the families act as if the murdered kids of wealthy people deserve preferential treatment.
From Politico:
"These are smart, articulate people, who don't have a scintilla of Washington about them," said Matt Bennett of the centrist Democratic group Third Way, which has been helping the families navigate D.C. "But they virtually cannot be denied a meeting. There are not many groups of people that can get a meeting with any senator they want, whenever they want."
The Third Way think-tank looks like a well-funded liberal front group pretending to be a bridge between the left and the right. Soon after Adam Lanza went berserk in December, killing first-graders and school personnel, Third Way co-founders Mark Bennett and Jon Cowan wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post. The topic? How Democrats should use various "forces and events" to seize the day.
... the Newtown families, political novices just a few months ago, are proving to be savvy, effective advocates as they promote the gun legislation that has finally begun to move through the Senate. The families are well-educated, and many are well-off. They have been polished and sharp on TV. They're mostly non-political, but quite accomplished in their own fields. With access to money and media, they're using persistence, visibility - and, most all, their unique moral authority - to help prod Senate action. They also have their own lobbyists - several of them, in fact.
Let me get this straight. The well-off Newtown families get experienced leftist political operators to guide them through the legislative process because of "their unique moral authority." "

Yep. The same "unique moral authority" that was bestowed by the Presstitutes on Cindy Sheehan, because dead child = victim = moral authority.
Except if yours is a White child murdered by a Black gangbanger or a "hispanic" drunk driver.

Hey Pan: We're not being political either, we just want them to STFU when it comes to our God given Rights supposedly protected by that archaic and ancient document, the Constitution of the United States.
War with these asswipes cannot be soon enough! I want to vanquish some media bum.

I'm tired, I am so damned deadly tired. Over the last two days, I've listened to both Burr and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) equivocate and spin on the radio about why Burr changed his mind about supporting the fillibuster and why Toomey partnered with Manchin on this fraacking gun bill -- he actually averred there are NRA inspired gun-rights expansions in the POS despite Jim Quinn pointing out the weaknesses that WILL be turned against gun owners; he actually said "good intentions", which ...... argh ........ just gives me a headache, a stomach-ache and an ass-ache.

I hear (cough!) that there are some Dem's worried about re-election and that votes might be slipping in the Senate. Of course this is media (cough!) chatter, so it could be rope-a-dope (or is it rope-a-pubbie?, whatever!)...but it will not pass in the House, it is all election-year set-up, round two to be served next summer. Let the asshats vote however they like, they'll all be on every side of this nine ways to Sunday by the time elections roll around it won't matter!

Amen to that.
