Heard a report some family members of Sandy Hook were in attendance, no confirmation of that or if any were injured.
And gosh, isn't Boston one of these places that is hostile to law-abiding protecting themselves? One of the areas where libiots downplay who causes terror and loves "diversity", a sanctuary city for illegals? Perhaps somebody saw somebody acting weird, leaving a bag and walking away but because they were "diversity" looking they said and did nothing?
There are hard questions coming and I doubt we'll get satisfactory answers, it'll be spin-overdrive on this and those most responsible for allowing conditions to flourish to make this likely will not even be addressed.
Lets let more Saudis in, really, diversity demands it, what could go wrong?
(The preceding statement applies no matter if this Saudi guy is a Saudi guy or not, really, I don't give a sh*t about offending people who may get offended by what I am saying, because I am saying libiots are at fault and they should be pissed I am calling them out. What are they gonna do? Call me racist? Like I give a damn what they think!)

Alright folks, it looks as if they're going to make bombs illegal for sale and transport across state lines. The left best pay attention here, I think they mean it this time. All mental patients who have bomb permits will have them taken from them immediately after registering them. You know this is going to affect us, right.
Secretary of State Kerry is pushing for an international ban on bombs, small or large and intends to push for ratification as soon as the Senate can vote on it. This will lead to job losses in the already sequestered defense industry as hundreds of thousands of builders of such heinous devices are put out of work.
Some TEA Party Repubs are going to filibuster the treaty they say but a few, the gang of 14 treacherous scumbags lead by McCain and his little sissy bitch, Lindsey Graham are blasting them for not considering the benefit of NWO government.

The graphic photos are out there to look at if you're inclined. I won't link them. But seeing the horror of what this terrorism looks like is of value, if only to set ones mind on the nature of the evil that caused it. Whoever did this needs to be killed. Not tried and jailed.

And I want the enablers targeted, do what we will to the perpetrator(s), I want their enablers hounded to their last breath!

Axelrod: Obama Thinks Boston Bombings Could Be Related to 'Tax Day' (http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/axelrod-obama-thinks-boston-bombings-could-be-related-tax-day_717924.html)
In explaining why President Obama didn't call the Boston bombings a "terrorist attack," former adviser David Axelrod said, "I'm sure what was going through the president's mind is -- we really don't know who did this -- it was tax day":
"The word has taken on a different meaning since 9/11," Axelrod said of the phrase "terrorist attack."
"You use those words and it means something very specific in people's mind. And I'm sure what was going through the president's mind is -- we really don't know who did this -- it was tax day. Was it someone who was pro--you know, you just don't know. And so I think his attitude is, let's not put any inference into this, let's just make clear that we're going to get the people responsible."
-
F**k him. When has there ever been anything like that on tax day? And if someone were wanting to make some kind of anti-tax/anti-government statement, they would not bomb some unrelated public event that would only bring hatred onto them and their cause. Any real "right wing extremists" know that.
No, this is classic musloid behavior. In fact I have wondered for years why they haven't done more of these smaller scale attacks at crowded venues. I think they are ultimately more effective at communicating a sense of real terror than the infrequent larger scale attacks. They can happen anywhere -- the mall, a movie theater, a restaurant. It's what Israel has dealt with for decades. The frustrating thing about that comparison is that Israel is more or less stuck with the problem due to geography, but we have no such problem here. No, it's entirely of our own making by continuing to allow backward 7th century throwbacks into our country.

I'm going on record right now saying I think this is the government's false flag. The April 15th Tax Day Tea Party Terrorist Attack. Axelrod is out there claiming Obama thinks it.
Its also Patriots Day in Massachusetts to commemorate the battles of Lexington and Concord.
Real or no, this is the meme they will push. We know liberals could care less what the truth is. Persecute the Bitter Clingers! They are already starting to call this the Boston Massacre. More than likely this was a probing event. Can we get away with shutting down cell phone service? What will the reaction be? Can we get away with implementing Martial Law in a metropolitan area? (http://www.infowars.com/national-guard-to-occupy-area-of-Boston/) They are trying out the police powers and seeing how they go.
Seriously, though, the Boston Marathon? If/When the revolution starts I guarantee the Patriots will not be bombing crowds. You don't attack a govt by attacking the people who support it. You attack the government by turning people against it--demonstrating it is unable to serve them or keep them safe while it takes ever more from them to support itself. Its not just the left who can Cloward-Piven a system.
Flood them with paperwork, sabotage infrastructure, drive up costs etc. A properly done attack means its not even apparent there WAS an attack. Downed Powerlines, utility room fires, broken water mains, broken vehicles. It won't be showy. It will just put more strain on resources till they simply can't cope. Who did they blame for Katrina and Sandy? The government - for their poor response. Granted, it wasn't covered as well, but Sandy relief was as bad if not worse than Katrina's. Heck, the revolution may have already begun, but you can bet the MSM isn't going to mention it. You can be assured the White House will say nothing. We know Powerlines are already going missing.

Know what a real attack would look like?
Like this
Other reports said no unexploded devices had been found. A reported fire at Boston’s John F. Kennedy Presidential Library turned out to be the result of an electrical problem and was unrelated to the marathon bombs, according to Boston police. (http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2013/0416/Boston-Marathon-bombing-Feds-raid-apartment-police-seek-rental-van-video)
Also very disturbing is the fact that they are denying that they knew about or had received threats, but had the bomb team with dogs at the Start and Finish lines - apparently with enough force it required announcements to explain their presence. . someone is lying about something, but I am sure the MSM will follow up ..
UPDATE: they are now saying that the Bombs were "pressure cooker" bombs of the type commonly used in Iraq by AQ. Problem is, my understanding of these bombs is that they are chemical in nature - You set up a reaction that fills the vessel with pressure- and when the vessel fails the bomb explodes. - Getting the timing to within seconds on that sort of device would be difficult. Ammonium Nitrate with a Fuel set on fire seems to be the popular choice for the reaction..
-
What it again proves is that crude, relatively simple devices can be put together and are capable of causing carnage. And they can be small enough to be stashed just about anywhere.
If they really wanted to create havoc, they could have seeded dozens of fake devices all over the place. Combined with the knowledge that at least some are real, it would turn each one of them into a nightmare for the emergency services.
-
I could be wrong but I do not believe that this is a "false flag." I do not believe that this bombing was a government conspiracy. Conspiracies are rare because by their very nature they are almost impossible to keep a lid on. Textbook example: Watergate. Getting caught (which is inevitable) is not worth the risk.
It could have been perpetrated by a domestic terrorist. Left wing terrorists (Earth First and ELF come to mind) have been completely fine with collateral damage in their crimes but they don't have anything like a public attack on civilians in broad daylight to date and it is difficult to imagine them starting to do so now. So-called "right wing" terrorist attacks have almost exclusively followed a pattern of attacking government facilities such as the Murrah building in Oklahoma City or the IRS office in Austin. The one exception that I can think of is Eric Rudolph who bombed the Olympic Park (among other places). That was a soft target. I guess what I'm saying is that the record for domestic terrorists of all political leanings in the US is to almost exclusively avoid soft targets and instead target things...symbols.
Jihadis, on the other hand, go after soft targets almost exclusively. They have a very long track record going back many decades of killing innocents to advance their cause.
So...based on target selection I think that this is very likely a jihadi attack.
Next is the method. Drudge had up a headline this morning that linked to a story where an inside source claims that the bombs were put into 6-liter pressure cookers and then further hidden in duffle bags. Left on the ground. Here is a quote from that story:
These types of pressure cooker explosives have been used in Afghanistan, India, Nepal and Pakistan, according to a July 2010 joint FBI and Homeland Security intelligence report. One of the three devices used in the May 2010 Times Square attempted bombing was a pressure cooker, the intelligence report said.
If there is one thing that jihadis have gotten very skilled with it is the construction of IEDs and these bombs appear to be of that type. So...based on method used I think that this is very likely a jihadi attack.
Regarding the Saudi national in custody: I would not be at all surprised if the guy is innocent. He was supposedly tackled by a civilian running from the scene. Well, just about everyone was running from the scene. Plus, he was injured with shrapnel. Why would the bomber hang out long enough to get injured? If he was a suicide bomber then why wasn't he killed? Clearly, he wasn't a suicide bomber. Okay, so at least he was a Saudi. But this being Boston there are a lot of Saudis in the area and it is not unreasonable or even statistically significant that one might be in attendance at the marathon. He could turn out to be involved but, given the limited and untrustworthy info that has come out so far, for now I will say that he probably wasn't involved.
The professional law enforcement types will have it mostly sorted out within the next 12 to 24 hours. They won't tell us anything until they catch someone but you never know. Until then we have speculation based on known information, reason and common sense.
-
Well then what I want to know is, why can just anyone waltz into a store and buy a pressure cooker? Are the laws in this country so lax that bomb making materials are freely available?
At the very least we should have microstamping on ball bearings and a registry of people buying assault cookware.
-
It was, I suppose, a large version of a pipe bomb. What will be interesting is if this turns out to be another Adam Lanza type person who decided to use explosives to carry out his killing.
Just as kind of a reminder to some and an FYI to others: The largest single death toll at a US school was in Bath, Michigan in 1927. Thirty eight children and six adults were killed by one man who never fired a shot. He blew them up with dynamite and would have killed more if only his other bombs had gone off as planned.
Obviously, regardless of who is to blame for yesterday's bombing, more gun control would not have prevented this crime.

Everybody smile. You need to get used to this.
-
Bloomie is a shameless statist hack, I ignore everything he says beyond ridiculing the asshat, he is a total prick.
The large pipe-bomb theory seems accurate here, my lack of knowledge along these lines (I suppose a good thing) makes me wonder if a chemical style bomb can be triggered to do that "mix" remotely by cell phone? It seems an added level of sophistication I would not associate with a typical pipe-bomb level bomb maker, maybe I am overthinking it, I clearly was wrong about the Saudi.
http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2013/04/16/saudi_national_no_longer_person_of_interest_in_boston_bombings_no_other_suspects (http://thecable.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2013/04/16/saudi_national_no_longer_person_of_interest_in_boston_bombings_no_other_suspects)
What I don't get it is how far behind the ball the authorities are, I mean they appear to be soliciting help, issuing pics of the before/after of the one suspected bomb, asking people if they know anything about these bags placed to look like throw-out crap next to garbage cans. It still has the primary hallmarks of a jihadi terrorist attack, but the lack of any leads makes my sniffer itch and I cannot completely rule out a false flag, as that fits one reason why the trail could go so cold. If a true black bag mutli-cut-out op the authorities might not have anywhere to go.
AQ has promoted targeting sporting events for some time and as pointed out the use of pressure cookers in constructing devices.
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/al-qaeda-propagandist-called-attacks-sports-events (http://cnsnews.com/news/article/al-qaeda-propagandist-called-attacks-sports-events)

-
Assuming they want the culprit and not a herring it is possible they are herding him with the dribble of information. They had that photo of the pressure cooker yesterday when it was mentioned, this afternoon it was released. Drip, drip.
I think the bomb was on the sidewalk between the viewers and the storefronts. There was no blood or parts on the storefronts if the bomb had been on the curb there would have been.

"If recent history is any guide, if the bomber ends up being a white anti-government extremist, white privilege will likely mean the attack is portrayed as just an isolated incident — one that has no bearing on any larger policy debates. Put another way, white privilege will work to not only insulate whites from collective blame, but also to insulate the political debate from any fallout from the attack."
That may just be the biggest load of manure I have ever read! This propagandist knows full well if the perp is manufactured to be a "white anti-government extremist" it will legitimize everything Obama & the rest of the fascists have done and will do! What a demonic little tool! There is your unbiased media, right there, spreading disinformation on a daily basis.

They are saying here (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-04-16/forensic-investigators-discover-clues-to-boston-bombing.html) what I heard earlier and couldn't confirm at the time - that the bomb maker used smokeless powder, the earlier report I heard on the radio said that if the powder was tamped down better that the destruction would have been a lot worse than it was. Small consolation for the dead and crippled, but those who justy barely survived may not have survived at all if not for incompetence in our enemy.

White privilege my ass, okay? Sick of it. "White privilege" is one of the Left's latest ploys to disguise the failure of their social engineering policies for their pet minorities. The worse and more obvious the failure, the more they point the finger at us.
And, yes; they'll blame it on our "group" collectively while a jihadi or person/s of any other favored group will be the beneficiaries of "lone wolf, not representative of the group" bullspit.

I love this bit fomr the Salon article:
Though FBI data show fewer terrorist plots involving Muslims than terrorist plots involving non-Muslims,
Yeah, I think there may be an itsy bitsy problem with the classification system whren a Man yelling Allu Akbar is killing people at Fort Hood and its NOT considered Islamic Terrorism. And then, from the link given as "evidence" (http://thinkprogress.org/security/2011/03/09/149537/king-muslims-plots-terrorists/) classifies Joesph Stack (http://www.newsrealblog.com/2010/02/20/joseph-stack-disillusioned-leftist-not-racist-right-wing-teabagger/) as a right wing terrorist - who just happened to be a lefty politically. (and here I thought the link would actually take me to the FBI statistics- vs an article at ThinkProgress) But wait!, that article has a link to a "report (http://www.mpac.org/assets/docs/publications/MPAC-Post-911-Terrorism-Data.pdf)" lets take a look at that! Oh, not FBI either. No, its from the Muslim Public Affairs Council.
The “DC Snipers” and Derrick Shareef are placed as an addendum for three reasons. First, both cases were
treated as terrorism cases; therefore we include it in our database. Second they are categorized as non-Muslim,
because the perpetrators of both plots were members of the Nation of Islam. Unlike radical Muslim groups,
according to the Wall Street Journal, the Nation of Islam is, “…an eccentric American sect that focuses on
racial (black) rather than religious supremacy.” The Southern Poverty Law Center also classifies the Nation of
Islam as a “Black Separatist” group in its database of US domestic hate groups.
Got that? NOI is NOT Muslim, so those acts go in a different bin. But you see it s was complied from FBI data to that makes them FBI stats.
Okay, lets see if I can find the FBI Reports (http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications). Hmm, no Terrorism report since 2008. Domestic report doesn't seem to have Terrorism or Man-Made-disasters as a category.
Besides its unfair to blame Muslims as a group! So lets blame white's as a group! Them and their awful freedom loving, law abiding, Bible Thumping , gun loving culture.

Not only dressed similarly but the backpacks look large enough to hold a 6 liter device. Also notice in the top photo they are both touching their ears as if trying to push/cover a hearing device in their ears (possibly because of crowd noise). Who uses those types of ear buds? Do I smell a conspiracy/red flag event?

I thought that they were both using cell phones. Using anything else like say a scrambled RF transceiver might indicate a high level of sophistication. Hard to say. You could use an ordinary Motorola two-way radio with a hands free headset and then just use code words to coordinate the attack.
I do think that there had to be two people involved in order to plant two devices. I can't imagine how you would tote two of those things by yourself and plant them without drawing attention. What makes sense is walking to your target area, taking off the backpack and setting it on the ground for several minutes and then setting the timer and walking away. A short duration timer of say, two or three minutes would allow you to leave the detonation area safely and make your escape in the chaos following the explosion. Five minutes, tops.
Two people making two simultaneous drops with similar timer settings makes the most sense. The bombs went off within ten seconds of each other and that could be explained by two people not starting their timers at the exact same moment even though they were coordinated as to the start of the attack.
Having the bombs in backpacks also makes more sense than anything else. Everyone has a backpack. Drop it on the ground, wait a minute or two, set the timer and then walk away.
And conspiracies and false flags would be the last thing on my suspicion list. I would put "attack by space aliens" ahead of a conspiracy.

I heard someone mention yesterday that the orange and red flames are indicative of a low explosive, which would correspond with smokeless powder. High explosives give off very little light, and when they do it's a bright white light.
Smokeless powder will burn in a pretty much harmless fashion if it's out in open air. All of its power comes from being contained in a pressure vessel of some kind. I guess now there will be a new assault on people buying powder in bulk for handloading.

Yeah, nothing coming up to rule out a false flag, that's for sure!

Heard the same thing, somebody speculated that was what was used in the device and that they did a pisspoor job of tamping it down, reducing its effectiveness. Incompetence probably saved lives.
And yeah, if they are not now they will be cataloging everything they can get their hands on about who is buying anything even remotely used in explosive devices, its a foregone conclusion powder is high on the list.
Probably have to be more careful about tampon and Styrofoam cup purchases now too. ::)

A conspiracy only needs 2 people intent on committing a crime, and if these guys were even the only ones involved in the bombing by definition it was a conspiracy.

Its evidence for a false flag IMO. Yes Start and Finish is where most of the people will be- but that is ALSO where the most cameras will be. If you are a terrorist and afraid of getting caught, you avoid cameras of all types. Heck, you find delivery method that isn't you...

Arrest made, based on a security cam catching someone drop a backpack, walk away, while on a cell phone.
Maybe there is something to the two pics, showing guys with back packs while holding something up to their ears?

Or not. Looks to me the
24 48 72 Hour Rule is still in effect, with regards to Low Information Media.

FBI says no arrest made.

A conspiracy only needs 2 people intent on committing a crime, and if these guys were even the only ones involved in the bombing by definition it was a conspiracy.
You are, of course, correct. Usually though, when people speak of conspiracies they are referring to the mythical big huge types where some shadowy group of characters are pulling the strings and working the levers that control the universe. 9/11 trutherism would be one such example. In this case, it is almost certainly one of two things: either a small group (six or less) operating somewhat autonomously or some kind of jihadi/islamofascist terror group sponsored thing. Both would technically be conspiracies.
-
Spaced aliens, Build-a-burgers, or Mohammedans;
I'll take Mohammedans for 200.

Bill Hemmer is on Hannity saying that the two men in the photos, the one with the white cap and backpack holding a pot and the other guy in the blue wind breaker (track suit) are the two persons of interest.
Good show, trap.

I just went through all the images from the site Trap posted, there is an anonymous post, looks like from Reddit, 2 images to the right of the one Trap was referencing saying it was a false flag. What do you all think? Also, check out all the pictures.

Yeah, that's what bothers me. The HD camera on the outside building giving the best pics is obvious to anybody on the ground. Jihadi terrorists might not always be the brightest of the bright and may not always construct things perfectly, but even a moron can see that camera pod on that building. My antennae are still twitchy.

From a friend of a friend in my facebook feed...
"Monday evening I watched Obama deliver his very short speech addressing the terrorist act in Boston. He seemed unconcerned, unsympathetic, and completely detached. This evening, I saw him speak about losing his gun grab in the Senate. He was angry, confrontational to those who opposed him and a bit pompous in promising his agenda was not dead."

Just a reminder boys and girls, the
72 96 hour rule is still in effect. Those two men in the picture are apparently not the droids we're looking for.
The real suspects apparently look even less like grandma and grandpa at the American Legion. They don't even look like "Moran" Man, if you catch my drift.
I don't do conspiracy theories but it's really getting hard not to connect the dots others are connecting. Why not just release the dam picture with the real suspects? Why did you let a Saudi national go...as in out of the country! Why are you meeting with Saudi officials, unannounced?

I want answers to that as well. Why was he detained; what did they find or not find; what led them to determine he was not a suspect; and finally, the most important question; why is he being rushed out of the country?

The beatings will continue until the proper (white bitter-clinging) patsy is found...all others will be ignored or expressed out of the nation.
This is the new normal we've all come to know and loath.
Pissed yet?

I don't know if it was expressed here but Rush just said deportation was determined for the Saudi (radical cell) before the bombingin Boston and he is was a prime suspect in the bombing.
He added that the ultimate objective was to make Obama look good.
I do emphatically believe that to be the most conspiratorial aspect of the investigation.
-
So, Obama recruited his role in this before the explosions.
Yeah, I can totally see that.
Speaks volumes on its own, don't it?
-
Obama's role as thin skinned, narcissist, attention whore, was nurtured long before he became president. After becoming president his dependency has been increased greatly.

More chaos in Boston this evening. One officer killed. Machine gun fire was supposedly heard by someone.
Update, 1:40 a.m. EST: Police responded briefly to a report of shots fired at a local children’s hospital, but are confirming over their radios now that “no shots were fired” at the hospital. Police are also saying “we do not have a second suspect in custody,” according to the police scanner. They are actively looking now for a second suspect.
Update, 1:20 a.m. EST: “We’ve got a second suspect in custody,” one officer says over the police radio. He then added: “We’re not sure it’s him.”
Update, 1: 14 a.m. EST: MIT police say one suspect is in custody, but another may be at large. Officers were told over the radio to turn off their cellphones for fear of detonating explosive devices nearby.
“CP — to all units in area — power down all cellphones for fear of explosion,” a commanding officer said over the radio. “”Power down your cellphones from a safe distance.”
Update, 1:00 a.m. EST: At least one heavily armed assailant with “grenades” and “explosives” and firing “automatic gunfire” is loose near MIT’s campus, according to police dispatchers and the school’s emergency website, and police say are looking for “dark-skinned” and possibly “Middle Eastern” suspects. (Listen to the feed here)
According to a live audio feed from MIT police, an officer has been shot in the arm and taken to the hospital. Suspects with grenades and explosives apparently stole the officer’s gun and a “state police SUV,” according to officials talking on the police radio, and may have stormed a nearby convenience store.
“They have explosives, [and] some type of grenade. Shots fired, shots fired. Loud explosion. Loud explosion — shots fired, shots fired,” one officer says.
Officers could be heard screaming on their radio for backup officers “with long guns” at 12:55 a.m. EST.
Multiple media outlets have reported that at least one police officer has died.
Hair-raising reports coming in from a Boston Police scanner indicate that a report of a second officer down” and “definitely hand grenades and automatic gunfire.”
“Responding agencies are actively investigating the situation, which remains very fluid at this time,” campus police officials wrote at 12:28 a.m. “Police continue to sweep the campus. Stay indoors and remain inside until further notice.”
“We’re going to try to block them in in an alley,” one officer says on the radio at 11:34 p.m. “They’re both armed with firearms. They both paid cash at the shell station, then fled towards Harvard square. … Only one firearm was displayed.”
“[Suspects are] dark-skinned and one’s Middle Eastern,” another officer said over the radio. The Daily Caller has been unable to confirm the suspects’ ethnicities, and no other officers referenced a Middle Eastern suspect on the radio.
An earlier update on MIT’s website said gunshots had been fired.
“At 10:48 p.m. gunshots were reported near Building 32 (Stata) which is currently surrounded by responding agencies. The area is cordoned off. Please stay clear of area until further notice. Unknown if injuries have occurred. Although the situation is considered active and extremely dangerous, an investigation is underway. Updates will be provided at this site when more information becomes available.”

I guess this is the follow up operation held in reserve in case the Senate failed to do as required. Already the sock puppets are posting comments on articles about the MIT shooting along the lines of "Well are you happy now you Tea Party obstructionists?! President Obama needs to just overrule the 2nd Amendment and ban these things!"
Now granted, the 24 48 72 hour rule is still in effect, but so far one detail that seems to have emerged is that the fallen MIT officer was shot with his own gun, which the perpetrator took from him.
-
I can't say that I am surprised that after releasing the photos of the bombers they got an actionable lead this quickly. Lots and lots of speculation going on with the media right now about what happened and in what order. One of the things being said is that the MIT police officer who was killed "inadvertently" ran into one of the suspects. Who f'n knows? They are just spewing anything to prevent dead air while they broadcast.
They have one suspect in custody. That is supposed to be ironclad fact.
They think there is at least one additional suspect still at large. That is conjecture based on the actions of law enforcement.
That would account for both bombers but what if there are more of them?
Hot night in Beantown.
I would not attribute any of the reported explosions (and they did happen) to actual bombs. The police have been detonating suspected bombs and that is going to account for at least some of what has been heard and reported.
-
An MIT police officer was shot dead late last night on the MIT campus and an MBTA officer was wounded early this morning in a second encounter in Watertown in a wild scene that involved explosives as well as gunfire, police said.
State police spokesman David Procopio said police were investigating whether there was a connection between the shootings and the Marathon bombings. By 2:30 a.m., Procopio said that two suspects were in custody in Watertown, but police were still actively searching for more suspects.
"We don't know how many suspects there are," Procopio said.
Dozens of police who had converged on the MIT scene near Kendall Square after the shooting there around 10:48 p.m. raced toward Watertown shortly before 1 a.m. this mornin,g toward an armed standoff with suspects in the Arsenal Street area, where heavily armed SWAT teams and uniformed cops with their handguns drawn were actively searching for suspects.

This could, of course, go on until dawn and well after that. It's impossible to say how these things will work out. I am encouraged that they have captured at least one of the bastards alive. Hoping that they get any others alive, as well. Need some answers.
Initial reports that I saw on FNC were saying that there was NO connection to the bombers. That these guys were involved in a robbery of some kind. As I said earlier, lots and lots of bad info and speculation.
FBI is supposed to be now saying that one person in custody is NOT one of the bombing suspects. Maybe another conspirator? Who knows?
In a nutshell, the story is supposed to be that there was an incident at the MIT campus (where I guess an officer was shot and killed) and then there was some sort of a car chase that may or may not have involved a carjacking which led police to Watertown. That's supposed to be more or less how we got to this point.

If you little pissant throwbacks, with your reverence for dead white men from the 18th century, would just get with the program and give up all your rights and property all of this could have been prevented. We could all spend our days unicornback riding in the lollipop forest if you obstructionists would let the qualified experts from the government make decisions for you, they are far more knowledgeable. But no, you so badly cannot stand the color of this president's skin that to see him fail you will cut off your noses to spite your faces. These bombings would never have happened if the gun show loophole had been closed. Eleventy!

FNC has, for reasons only they could possibly understand, have that Judge Napolitano guy on the phone doing color commentary. Just spouting whatever nonsense comes to mind to fill otherwise dead air. They have this big standoff now and nothing is happening so they have to just flap their jaws to keep people tuned in. To make matters worse, since this is happening at 3AM, they have the FNC "B" or "C" team on duty. They obviously woke up Napolitano to chat it up. Geraldo must have needed his beauty sleep or something. I would rather hear from Mark Furman if I have to listen to someone who doesn't really know what's going on.
They (the MFM) don't know hardly anything. All they know is that there are a lot of flashing lights and cops with body armor and black rifles running around. The perimeter is four blocks (at least) so the press can't really see anything.

LINK (http://www.businessinsider.com/police-name-boston-marathon-bombing-suspects-2013-4)
Boston police have identified the two men as suspects in a string of violent incidents outside of Boston as Mike Mulugeta and Sunil Tripathi.
The Boston Globe is reporting that police that the men are the Boston Marathon bombing suspects, and one of them is in custody while the other remains on the loose.
Tripathi, 22, is a missing Brown University student who disappeared on March 16. The FBI joined the search of him on March 25.
The naming of the suspects comes after a string of incidents near MIT's campus in Cambridge, Mass., that left one MIT police officer dead. At one point at least 25 gunshots heard in the span on a minute or two.
"Sunil has been struggling with depression since he took a leave of absence from Brown last year," a public Facebook page set up by his family said. "A note suggestive of suicidal intent left behind in his apartment has his family extremely worried."
The Tripathi guy is supposed to (maybe) be the suspect wearing the white hat. Who knows?
Drudge, BTW, has slept through this whole thing. Not a single update. As if it wasn't happening. He really is a one man operation.
-
Saw on Breitbart that supposedly one suspect is room temperature.
Gotta get some sleep.

Good morning all.
Latest is that "White Hat Guy" still at large and other "suspect" in the custody of the morgue.
Bet they kill both of them. How convenient.

The suspect at large — believed to be the man who physically placed the bags containing the homemade bombs which killed 3 and injured 170 on Monday — was described as "dressed in a grey hoodie, light skinned male, brown curly hair."
Law enforcement sources said the suspects have international links and have been in the country legally for about a year.
Well now, at least they can't finger Tea Party activists.

Chechen Russian suspects, brothers are suspects. One dead another on the running low, running on empty? Pricks probably claiming asylum for entry into country. Yes, another pair of Musloids that Obama.s state department allowed into country without giving any serious thought as to the dangers they pose. Freaking asshats got their just dessert and people died. Now, can we ban this cult?

Amazing how you called that.

Sadly I knew the answer to that question too. It just got to me to see the Richard family cheering their father on and within an instant their lives changed forever.
Since 1972 (even though I was a kid) and seeing the muslims taking the Israelis Olympians hostage I knew then we could not coexist with them.
While the Americans and Jews are making profound discoveries in the sciences the muslims were inventing bombs laced with rat poison, nails, screws, ball bearings etc. to cause the greatest human carriage. I pray for the families that have been effected and I pray for Gods swift Judgement on these monsters.
-
That will be The Iconic picture from this whole thing, when all is said and done. The elderly guy that went down was moving but my God, the boy and his sister, standing in front of the bomber....

Where does one get explosives in the US? I mean, if they actually had grenades of some sort (and there is no proof yet as to what they had and what they used last night) I am pretty sure that they were not purchased at a gun show.
How were they supplied? Who have they been associated with for the last several years? What is their trail on the internet?
Where did they live? Did they live in Watertown?
So many questions. MFM doing their best to obfuscate with talking head chatter.
Originally from Chechnya, but living in the United States since five years, Tamerlan says: “I don’t have a single American friend, I don’t understand them.”
The above quote would seem to all but completely rob Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow of much of their Tea Party thunder. But lack of proof hasn't stopped them before.
Tsarnaev identifies himself as a 2011 graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, a public school in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
It says he went to primary school in Makhachkala, capital of Dagestan, a province in Russia that borders Chechnya, and lists his languages as English, Russian and Chechen.
His "World view" is listed as "Islam" and his "Personal priority" is "career and money".
He has posted links to videos of fighters in the Syrian civil war and to Islamic web pages with titles like "Salamworld, my religion is Islam" and "There is no God but Allah, let that ring out in our hearts".
LINK (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/04/19/us-usa-explosions-suspect-site-idUSBRE93I0JL20130419) for above quote.
Do also keep in the forefront of your mind (as the media inevitably develop their own narrative) that so far they have killed 3 of 4 victims with explosives, not guns. I would also wager that they killed the police officer with handguns rather than scary black rifles but that is just a guess, of course.
-
Media openly wondering if they should call them "domestic terrorists" or "foreign terrorists."
"Islamic terrorists" just won't do, apparently.
Islamic terrorists is correct and works just fine, we should all use the term openly and often, if it annoys our enemies...good!!!
Lets catch the younger bastard. Let the survivors so inclined be invited into a room with the latest power tools and attachments, and let them at the little muzzie sh*t!
-
The quote above that said, "I don't have a single American friend..." is very, very telling. What it says to me is that there are going to be accomplices that we do not yet know about. There could be multiple arrests today and into the weekend as they look into the associates of the two killers.
The one who is still alive has a verifiable connection to Ben Affleck and Matt Damon...attended the same high school. What does this mean? Could there be some sort of radicalization that occurred there? Need to investigate the Affleck/Damon connection.
Fun fact: Since they are from Chechnya they literally are caucasians from the Caucasus region of Russia. So I guess the MFM will at least have that to hold onto as their Tea Party conspiracy wet dreams come to naught.
Question: if the entire city is in lockdown mode then why is Logan airport still open and operating? Where are the outgoing passengers coming from and what are they doing with the incoming passengers?
-
Just getting more muzzies out Trap, before crazy right-wing bitter clingers who lost family or friends take matters into their own hands...you know, real terrorists.
/
-
There is absolutely no doubt, based on their own social media (Facebook, YouTube, etc.) that these killers are part of islam and were influenced by AQ among others. Preparing for total whitewash.
There is more than a little irony in this situation. Boston has for decades been the home of the IRA in America and many of its Irish community funneled money and other material support to the IRA. No connection, of course...I just find it ironic.
-
Shots just fired in Watertown. I heard it myself on the live coverage.
-
Cops are buzzing around like angry bees now...
-
Appears to be a moving search...rooting out muzzies is like smoking out cockroaches...they just go space to space...
-
Now they are saying no grenades. All explosives are IEDs which means probably no material support from third party. Still, hard to believe that these are the only two involved...the only two who had knowledge of conspiracy to commit murder.
-
Their uncle on TV saying they were losers, that they were not radicalized by his brother that this has nothing to do with Islam (Mohammedans) that they were losers.
Well, in the end, all Mohammedans are losers.
-
Uncle must be a Mohammadan, that's the impression I got, and it will be the meme the WH & state-run media runs with.
O/T-Anybody hear from Dan? I'll send a PM, interested in his take on this.
Oh, and last I heard, Afleck & Damon haven't been brought in for questioning...
-

So, the "cleared" injured Saudi "student" that was tackled at the marathon and either is or is not to be deported due to a national security risk is to be written out of the story? Might that have something to do with Kerry and Obongo meeting with Saudis in the last two days?
The Saudis are known to be supporting the radicalization of Chechnyan muslims.
-
I don't know guys -- this smells like bad fish. With the man who had his legs blown off helping to make the ID, they are probably the guys who did it, but it doesn't make sense. Okay, he is smart, lonely and sympathetic to Islamic hatred of Americans. He grew up in corrupt and violent places, and was after "career and money" - now here is where is goes off the rails:
1) They pull off a successful, very high profile bombing, in a place filled with cameras and surveillance video and witnesses, most of whom survived to tell the tale. So you go back home and continue to make more Bombs? Not get out of State? Not get out of the Country? They are almost sure to ID you, so you gotta lie low. They should be pulling a pony boy, dying their hair and hiding in an abandoned building somewhere.
2) They then see themselves ID'd on the news. Their reaction? Hey lets go rob the 7-11 at MIT? Seriously? Way to lie low guys. Were they getting "get outta dodge money" - if so, why rob an open business? With Security Cameras. With an armed security guard, who you do kill. Police definitively know where you are, and where to keep looking. It never occurred to you that you would NEED to get out of Dodge and be prepared for that eventuality? Really? But wait, we didn't get enough from the 7-11, so we stop at several more ATMs on the way out of town- DURING a police search for them?
3) So they hijack a car - one with a security tracking system, and then decide to abandon the vehicle but leave that witness alive?
::foilhathelicopter::
Tin Foil Hat time.
I suspect that someone paid him to do it. Used his Islamic hatred and the lure of a large sum of cash to go do this hit, and maybe another - which is why they had extra explosives. Remember he grew up where such violence and contracts were commonplace.
But Something gave this kid the idea he was safe, and he therefore didn't make any plans to get out of dodge. None. Then he actually gets ID'd- and realizes he is screwed. Maybe its just sheer arrogance ( but that is arrogance to eleventy!!!)- but I think It would take a sane person at least a week to get cocky and sure they wouldn't be caught given the number of pictures and witnesses they were dealing with. I think it is more likely he was depending on the person who gave him the contract to protect and/or evacuate him if needed. That person didn't show and he panicked. If you have access to ATM money ( $800 of it by some accounts) there is no point in taking the risk of knocking over the 7-11. I really think these guys were young manipulated pasty morons. The real perpetrators needed a delivery mechanism and hired one, telling them whatever they needed to hear to get it done, and then left them to swing. Heck, for all we know they have family that were threatened if they didn't comply.
Normally you expect there to be a manifesto of some sort. Maybe that is still coming. Maybe one will be fabricated for him. I just doubt this was the idea of the two Brain Trusts in these pictures. Maybe I am wrong- maybe its just a lonely young male getting his revenge on whatever suited his fantasies. But he seemed to be having a pretty successful life, attending school, etc. And his brother was an accomplice - not impossible, but normally people don't happen go insane at the same time.

Some are saying that this is hijacked car.
Note the bumper sticker.
There is going to be a lot of sh*t over the decision to shut down the entire city (rather than, say, just the particular community) when this is all over.
One thing is for sure: This is worldwide news and the jihadis are taking notes. There will be more terrorist attacks in the USA after this because of the way that the police and the media have reacted to it. They now know that they can get a week's worth of worldwide live television coverage for staging an IED attack in a crowded public area of a major metro area. Next time it will be a school (the Chechnyans did that in Russia already) or a mall. Or a hospital. They will be in our future.
BTW: can you imagine the mayhem created by a team of terrorists acting in a coordinated fashion in a major metro area? Drawing police from one part of the city to another.
-
Fun fact: Since they are from Chechnya they literally are caucasians from the Caucasus region of Russia. So I guess the MFM will at least have that to hold onto as their Tea Party conspiracy wet dreams come to naught.

-
"What are you going to do - target all Caucasians?"
No, just Mohammedans.
-
Mohammadans, there is no coexisting with them, how ironic a moron with that sticker was jacked, if that is the car...either way, Cenk can KMA and FOAD.
Meanwhile the city gets locked down and the cops say they are not going to let the terrorists win, well newsflash asswipe, they got you to lock the whole city down now didn't they? What a douche. Imagine what a city filled with armed civilians could do to catch these Mohammadans if they were free to do so!

Technically, "caucasian" means anyone from Europeans (who we most closely associate with the term) to Berbers of North Africa, to Arabs of the Middle East, to Turks, to Persians, even India. But yeah, I know the media is going to do a Zimmerman with it.
And honestly, I've been wondering for over 10 years why they haven't been doing these kinds of attacks. They're logistically much easier to pull off, and create a whole different kind of terror in the population. Now it's not getting on a plane or traveling to an unsafe part of the world, it can be anywhere there's a lot of people.
I am advocating outright, unapologetic racial discrimination against people of ethnic groups closely associated with Islam. And you know what? Start getting more attacks like this, and the whole "multiculturalism" house of cards is going to fall because people are going to start practicing racial discrimination whether they feel right about it or not.
And at the same time that happens, the State is going to subject us to a whole new level of infringement through its security apparatus. The question of whether that is in fact the goal behind all this can be left to individual interpretation. But that's going to be the result whether or not it's any kind of conspiracy.
-
Pardon my antiquity but Berbers and Arabs are Semites and the origin of Caucasians is the Caucasus mountain region, that's what I was taught.
Four distinct skull shapes, caucasoid, mongoloid, negroid, and semitic.

Something that bothers me about this whole episode is that an entire major city was subjected to what was virtually a state of martial law, and now there is a big congratulatory backslapping after it. Yet, it was an observant individual citizen who found the guy after this curfew had been lifted.
Yeah, I am glad this POS has been captured. But I am filled with unease over everything surrounding this whole thing: an entire major city put on lock down, thousands of police and military in full Rambo costume, and now all this congratulatory fanfare. They're also advertising that you can bring American cities to a halt for days on end with crude terror tactics. The whole thing has just come across like a big infomercial for the surveillance state, to me at least.
-
Massachusetts, the birthplace of Liberty, requiring its citizens to cower in their homes while the "professionals" search for the Jihadi. And some guy calls in and says "I think he's hiding in my boat in my backyard. Can you please get over here and clean up this mess?"
Know what a good old redneck would have done? Dropped a case of twelve gauge double 0 buckshot into his boat. Just to be sure. THEN, he would have called the cops.
-
Yep. How odd that it would be April 19th, to the day. I can't even really put my finger on what precisely bothers me, but I think back to the article CO posted about inchoate rage. Inchoate is the perfect word to describe the environment we find ourselves in. Something nefarious is going on, and I mean something nefarious besides the actual bombing itself. I just don't like what is portended with what we've seen over the past few days. It just has this feel of some sort of martial law beta testing or something.
-
It just has this feel of some sort of martial law beta testing or something.
That is EXACTLY what it is. False Flag or no, they didn't let the opportunity go to waste. Will people really shut their businesses, stay in their homes and comply?. Can we really get them to present papers on the street? Watch- they will now start extending the time frame and the next attacks - and there will be next attacks, either by hired agents or by terrorists who "just happened" to slip through the net. The Democrats immigration stance is deliberate - the more welfare citizens who will vote for them the better. The more terrorists to create havoc and "opportunities" the better.
-
I've been struggling to find perspective to illustrate my sense of ill-ease and alarm. So far I haven't seen anyone else on the 'net verbalize what my spidey-sense is telling me.
Analogies are always awkward and inexact but if I may...
Public officials have the authority to control everyday activities given the proper warrant. For example, it's been raining like crazy and a road is washed out. Someone from the public works goes out and places barricades impeding the flow of traffic. Some cowboy drives around the barricades and into the rising water, determined to do what he pleases in spite of the obvious warning. Now this public works guy with his dumptruck and his signs doesn't have the power to detain the cowboy, but the police sure do. I've seen it done, and you probably have, too.
Now we have a foundation for discussing imposition of limited martial law. An obvious risk, an exercise of private infringement by public authority, and both public acceptance, individual defiance, and utilization of control.
Several years ago we had an incident in Seattle where a jumper climbed out over the railing on a bridge and threatened to jump. The bridge he chose was part of the single largest traffic corridor through town and when the cops decided to stop all traffic in both directions for fear that someone might urge him to jump, the results were near catastrophic. It quickly paralyzed all of the major thoroughfares as cars stacked up and backed up into other routes. The effects lingered for almost another entire day. The costs were staggering in terms of lost productivity and personal loss of time. This episode had impact on as many individuals as the lockdown in Boston. There were also several arrests and many citations given to citizens frustrated over this infringement of their right to unimpeded travel (because they sought alternative routes to escape the madness).
Now you see an example of exercise of imposition of limited martial law when the risk isn't so obvious. The public officials used their authority to (essentially) lockdown the core of a major city. Why? Out of concern for the feeeeelings of a suicidal individual.
Unless there are repercussions for this act the fascists will assume it is OK and will add it to their toolkit. Unless citizens speak out - loudly - there will be no repercussions.

Look at the pictures (http://www.infowars.com/battlefield-usa-de-facto-state-of-martial-law-declared-in-boston-pics-from-the-war-zone/) This over a single - wounded, 19 Year old boy. The Bridge I get. Its unfortunate and expensive, but its a natural choke point. An event on a bridge could (reasonably ) close the bridge
A fugitive in Newtown SHOULDN'T warrant closing an entire city of 600,000 people, and allow a warrant-less search of every home.
The man was injured
"We used a robot to pull the tarp off the boat," David Procopio of the Massachusetts State Police said. "We were also watching him with a thermal imaging camera in our helicopter. He was weakened by blood loss -- injured last night most likely," (http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/19/us/boston-area-violence/index.html)
So it took cops 8 hours to find a bleeding man who abandoned his vehicle? Do they have same law against using Bloodhounds in MA?
Seriously. A dog with the scent would have found him within minutes. Car. Blood. Find man. Good doggie.
Instead they are getting calls from a guy who finds him in his boat? Folks THEY DIDN'T WANT to find him. They wanted the opportunity to impose Martial Law to go on longer.
Here is a timeline with some interesting tidbits (http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/19/justice/boston-marathon-timeline/index.html)
"2 a.m.: Police begin ordering residents in Watertown to turn off their cell phones."
What? Why? The terrorist might call them? They might receive a 911 alert? They might be ready to capture video/audio?
"8 a.m.: Boston-area residents are asked by authorities to stay inside as the hunt continues for Dzhokar Tsarnaev."
Why all of Boston? You are doing a (Warrantless) House to House Search in Newtown. You already have a pretty good idea where the guy is.
"12:20 p.m.: The University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth is evacuated, and the school says that Dzhokar Tsarnaev was an enrolled student. Law enforcement personnel swarm the campus, which is just west of New Bedford and about 60 miles south of Boston."
60 Miles SOUTH of Boston , which is South of Newtown!?! Why? Because he might show up for School?
"Between 6 and 7 p.m.: A Watertown resident goes out for a walk soon after authorities lifted the lockdown order in the area. The person saw blood on a boat in a neighbor's backyard, then "saw a man covered with blood under a tarp," Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said."
Wait, wait, wait. You made people stay - as prisoners, inside their homes all day, and then a NEIGHBOR sees blood? Its wasn't even his boat!?! and the police walking around the area ALL day didn't notice this?
-
Don't forget our intreped FBI and their great skills ferreting out the bombers.
“He [Jeff Bauman] woke up under so much drugs, asked for a paper and pen and wrote, ‘bag, saw the guy, looked right at me,’”, said Chris Bauman.
Another citizen dialed the bombers ID. One may speculate that if the information were immediately disseminated the "problem" could have been resolved by citizen participation more efficiently.

These articles touch on some of the same sense of unease we're feeling about this whole act. I think the one that really got me last night was the spontaneous crowd shouting "USA! USA!". I get that people were extremely glad the POS who detonated a bomb in their city was caught (and the other one room temperature), I don't blame them there. But this congratulatory atmosphere is totally misplaced in my opinion...I can just imagine the sly smirk of satisfaction creeping across the faces of certain people in Washington when they see it's going to be even easier than they thought. We just spent the better part of a week putting on a show for the entire world demonstrating how effete the American people are, how they will allow house to house searches of entire neighborhoods without warrant, will become virtually under house arrest as they "shelter in place", and worst of all how elated and appreciative they are of it.
Yeah, Islam is at war with us. That's what mainstream conservatism has to say about it. And that used to be my mantra as well, and I'm not pollyanna about Islam. But man, now it's just sounding to me like "Well duh, we're at war with Eurasia you know. We've always been at war with Eurasia."

If the original concept of militia had not been lost it could have been rallied and the villains captured with no loss of commerce or freedom of movement or possessions. But that lesson is obviously lost on Boston. Irony.

Luckily the American west is only a generation or so from " Get the Posse together, were gonna go get those guys."
You can't pursue criminals - let the professionals do it.
You can't teach your children - let the professionals do it
You can't make your own health care decisions, the govt should make those for you.

After watching some roundup coverage of the latest terrorist ball game, I have some thoughts.
First off, as has been mentioned many times, welcome to the militarization of law enforcement in America. One more lost civil liberty.
But my other thoughts are more decidedly pointed.
In all the wall to wall coverage, a few topics were ignored, shunted aside like a Gosnell ‘patient’, or given short shrift.
The issue of terrorism here in the US is a matter of immigration control. But we have a president who cares not one whit for anything resembling border control and immigration law enforcement within the borders of the Country. Hell, he has an illegal alien auntie living quite openly in Boston.
The older Chechen sailed through a ‘background check’ after an unnamed foreign government gave us a heads up. The FBI investigated, using the appropriate tools of the day combined with sensitive PC questioning yet Nada. He’s a good Chechen. So now is it time yet to profile? Because, like, you know, there are some people of a certain religion who want to kill us. But progressivism is not anything if not suicide on a national scale. Border control? How racist of us.
The other thing that blew me away Saturdsy morning, hearing it for the first time, was how Boston and some surrounding areas were completely shut down for over 5 days by TWO, count ‘em 2, guys. When NYC was hit, a major building complex was turned into rubble, infrastructure was damaged, including transportation. Closed for two and a half days, longer in some parts of the City. With nanny statism comes the new belief that we are all victims to be protected by the Government, including isolating you for your own good. A city the size of Boston goes into lockdown for two guys? Every child gets a trophy and every policeman gets a medal (for doing the bloody job they volunteered to be paid to do). I have never heard more effusive praise for a ‘local’ police action. It really is conditioning. It becomes the norm and most certainly not out of the ordinary. In fact, it’s to be expected in certain situations, because government force is good. And no, you do not need to protect yourself from the necessary force of good government.
I don’t know what I’m trying to say except that the coverage of this atrocity (enough of that ‘tragedy’ word already; it was a deliberate act, not an earthquake or something) gives rise to questions currently unasked or even discussed by our Brave New World media. A failed border policy. A failed immigration policy. A failed visa policy. All designed to put the citizenry at risk so big daddy government can save the day, creating their own crisis too good to waste. Make no mistake, I firmly believe this event will be used to further constrict our 2nd Amendment rights, along with other civil liberties. Locking down the City of Boston for days because of a manhunt for two guys? Cripes, what will happen when the dozens of Hisb’Allah cells already in this country spring into some good ol’ fashioned terror action? We shut down the country? This is what happens to our liberties when we fail to contain jihadis over there. When they’re over here, a president like Owebama will use the resulting mayhem to expand government at our liberty’s expense. I can feel it coming, especially with all the effusive praise being thrown at the various law enforcement agencies (who surprisingly all dress alike in situations such as this). I spit further than I trust this Administration, well, our whole government (the Pubbies ain’t doin’ anything to help in that negative viewpoint).
This attack was not some opening salvo, far from it. But this attack sheds light on how our present government responds to such terror crises in this country, with a very heavy hand; somewhere down the line will be presidential citations for those involved in this action, with an appropriate photo-op ceremony on the White House Lawn propagating propaganda celebrating big government force. There are questions to be asked and lessons to be learned from the Boston Marathon Bombing, but banning pressure cookers is not one of them. Neither is continuing to wonder about any nebulous motive the two might have had for the bombing. PC talk is getting us killed.

Well said RickZ. You said much of what I've been trying to say in my last few posts on this subject. I think we all just instinctively recognize that this portends bad things; I feel that this represents the beginning of the next chapter in this unfolding police state. The people of this country are like livestock begging to be slaughtered, I mean that really is how the statist oligarchs are going to see it. The whole display combined with the effusive praise really fills me with a sense of unease.

Thank you.
I wish I felt 'unease'. I'd feel a whole lot better than I do with my sense of dread and impending doom (or at least major gloom and destruction).
And now Glenn Beck with the whole false flag claim, and which I believe until proven otherwise thanks to the history of this administration when it comes to details shmetails. We've already had F&F as an attempt to curtail the 2nd Amendment. Then came Benghazi, with the plethora of questions unanswered, hell even unasked. Then Sandy Hook conveniently fell into Owebama's clutches. Another attack on the 2nd Amendment, but that appears to have failed for the nonce. And now this Marathon bombing, coming right on the heels (pun intended) of Owebama's very bad week (including his petulant rant against the NRA and other enemies of his domestic agenda). Even if it wasn't a false flag, it still bodes well for the Administration. They can start more muslim outreach, further bankrupting our Country. They can preemptively surrender to Iran 'to save lives'. All the most ridiculous 'late night college bullshyt sessions' scenarios can hold no candle to the evil that Owebama is and the evil that Owebama has done and will continue to do. So anything is possible.
Also, you agree, the effusive praise for law enforcement in this search was most unsettling thanks to Owebama's track record. I was not happy when Bush said some nice things about the Patriot Act, but with Owebama I know that he will twist any event to support his progressive totalitarian agenda. We mustn't rush to judgement, right Barry? But how about that Trayvon Martin local news story upon which you interjected your comments? No rush to judgement there, right Barry?
I think the thing that sickens me most is that I, and some others, can see the black clouds of Tyranny on the horizon. But we as a Nation voted for this Tyranny twice. Why I can see something so plain while so many can not or will not is what dampens my spirit. How do you get through to the Oblivions who walk among us?

That's a laugh. What are the odds they might begin their search at the White house. If they did their freaking job nine years ago, we wouldn't be in this mess today.
-
Thinking cynically, this "evolving sleeper cell" is the agency's opportunity to exercise its authority under that aegis to continue intrusive/invasive "investigation".
As to "The whole display combined with the effusive praise..."
The exposure and capture of these villains was done by single individual citizens each. Jeff Bauman (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-04-19/boston-bombing-victim-in-iconic-photo-helped-identify-attackers.html), whose legs were blown off identified the bombers, their common thuggery/carjacking exposed their location and a homeowner discovered bomber #2. Any county sheriff could have handled this job efficiently with little or no disruption to civil activity. And as said at this forum, "Don't, they have bloodhounds in Boston?"
In "old America" individuals would be the persons responsible, "hey Bub, you forgot your bag" then respond accordingly to his reactions. But then again, in "old America" they would never have been allowed in the country.
-
Cynicism indeed. What does it say when one cannot envision a circumstance whereupon the Øbongo regime would do the right thing - especially for the right reasons? I confess that I cannot.
A year or so ago there was a report and a statistic promoted that heralded that the Øbongo regime was deporting more illegals than any previous administration. I greeted the news with appropriate skepticism since he is nothing if not self-serving, but gave him props for at least doing the right thing (getting the invaders off our shore). Now evidence comes to light of the manufacture of those statistics, disproving much of what was claimed.
Figures...

Sure it does. They expected their co-conspirators to work to protect them and get them away. When they realized they were being left out to dry, or at least expected to commit suicide in some spectacular manner, they refused, and started improvising. . . badly.
-
The goddamned democrats have been letting sleeper cells in by droves for years, joined by immigration appeasers and pc/diversity/multicultists like McCain, Graham and now Rubio seem just peachy with that idea and want to ensure the gates stay flung wide open some more...backdoor/frontdoor, what's the f**king difference? And their reward? More idiots returned to power, less freedom for citizens and applause for our loss of liberty. This whole sorry mess highlights everything that is wrong about the path we are being herded down. Latter day American lack the will to work for their liberty, so they shall have less freedom and more perceived security...makes me fricken ill thinking about it!
More freedom, more liberty and being allowed to carry whatever arms we want when we want and be free from prosecution and persecution for protecting ourselves and our property would have made an environment where scumsuckingsh*ts like these two assholes would have difficult time flourishing. People are enslaving and killing themselves by their stupid actions and they are unable to see it. This is what a terminal society looks like. Get used to it, its only going to get worse.

When asked about reports that Tsarnaev was run over by a vehicle driven by his fleeing brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Wolfe said he did not see any obvious injuries that would back up that theory.

What? (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/10008976/Boston-marathon-bomber-Dzhokhar-Tsarnaev-may-never-speak-again.html) He was dragged 20ft and shows no signs of it?
...
Chief Deveau said: “They jump out of the cars and unload on our police officer. They both came out shooting. Shooting guns, handguns. He’s under direct fire, very close by.
“He has to jam it in reverse and try to get himself a little distance.”
As five other officers arrived, 200 shots were fired in 10 minutes. One of the brothers threw exploding devices including a pressure cooker bomb which landed on a car.
Tamerlan then broke cover and walked directly at officers firing a gun. The police chief said: “They were having a gunfight 10 feet apart. And then for us, thank God, he ran out of ammunition. He runs out of ammunition, the bad guy, and so one of my police officers comes off the side and tackles him in the street.”
As they tried to handcuff him, Dzhokhar drove the Mercedes straight at them but missed the police, hitting his own brother and dragging him 20ft before racing off.

The mosque they attended is where it started and the trip home is where it was finished. This guy didn't just go home to see dear old dad he went to gradute from school.

Yeah, mom and dad probably graduated from the same school.

Fact is, most cops aren't all that great with firearms. All the expensive fancy equipment can't make up for it either.
-
Hmmm...maybe it's a regional thing. I've seen the ones in my area shoot and I wouldn't want to be on the business ends of their sidearms.
-
I've heard LEOs say that even with intense training and hours at the range, an actual gunfight with pistols adds variables that challenge the center-mass aiming of even the best marksmen.
-

This would translate into why the govt needs 1.6 billion rds of ammunition......no matter how much practice some receive, inevitably, some just suck at using firearms. Political correctness allow these people to remain LEO's instead of searching for the best. ::grouphug::
-
Adrenaline becomes a huge enemy in a situation like that. Our fight-or-flight response that adrenaline triggers is meant to enhance gross muscle strength and speed, but fine motor control like using a pistol gets compromised. I'm not being critical of them, just pointing out that the average cop who isn't a gun guy probably only shoots the minimum needed to maintain qualification. Plus they may have been deliberately trying to take him alive, since dead men can't tell you about any accomplices.

It's said, one shouldn't fire a weapon in the air etc. However these guys unloaded, did they say 200, a minimum of 40 rounds and not only didn't hit the villain but missed an S Class Mercedes. You know, a tire, an engine block, battery; what the heck did they hit? Oh yeah, Boston, you can't sing our National Anthem WAS either.

You bet it is. On the Urban Coasts, "Cop" is a cushy Union job where you are no expected to engage criminal activity, just fill out the paperwork on it. Only the most egregious criminals are caught. The sister of a buddy of mine in CA had her van stolen out of her driveway. "Cops" showed up, took the report, told her who did it, and advised her not to press charges because the gang would retaliate and the cops couldn't stop them ( and its not like a citizen can have a gun in CA, and even if they did, there would be hell to pay if you used it to defend yourself. ) Out West, most rural cops know they have a population density of about 2 people per square mile, and that it will take them 90 minutes just to cross the county on the dirt roads to get to the crime scene. They are on thier own, you are on your own, and everyone expects folks to take reasonable precautions.

Why did I think of the Iraq War Jessica Lynch Fairy Tale when I read this:
Tamerlan Tsarnaev, now out of his car, attempted to lob a makeshift bomb at police, but the device exploded in his hand. While Tamerlan Tsarnaev was firing a pistol with the other hand, police tackled and tried to subdue the 200-pound amateur boxer.
Let me get this straight: The cops were afraid that both bombers were wearing suicide bomb vests, and they tackle Tammy while he is shooting a gun at them.

Remember, these are the same guys who have to riddle targets (sometime just one target!) mutliple times in packs just to score a hit and then take hours (when they have FLIR) to take down an injured clown in a boat.
Hollywood makes these clowns look like heroes when in real life they stumble and blunder with amazing regularity.
And I echo the city cop theme Weisshaupt mentions, may not be true person to person but in general it is true unit to unit.
-
And I'll go ahead and break the ice on this whole other twist to the story, that being the bomber's American wife who converted to Islam and voluntarily wears the burial shroud, etc.
At the Daily Mail they have a lengthy article about her. I had her pretty well pegged just from guesswork, but the article confirmed much of it. Your first clue is that as a teenager she wanted to join the Peace Corps. Add to that an obviously affluent, white, New England background and you get the picture of one of those girls. A Rachel Corrie type. The type who, out of her sheer magnanimity, decides to adopt the struggle of downtrodden brown people as her own. The same sort of white girls who get mixed in with groups like the SLA.
The key ingredient is perhaps the most ironic one, because they are rebelling not against a stifling, oppressive environment but in fact one that is entirely too noncommittal, too relativistic, too uncertain of itself to assert its own moral/spiritual framework. I'd bet she had permissive, progressive parents, and for sure was raised in a culture that never fails to denigrate itself in comparison with The Other.
The Left seems to believe it can gut Western civilization of its moral clarity, its spiritual underpinnings, and replace them with unicorns, rainbows, and 4/20 parties (http://www.tmz.com/2013/04/20/snoop-lion-dogg-420-party-shut-down/). People shouldn't be surprised when some Western youth end up being drawn to alternatives that by contrast do make positive assertions, that don't believe everything is relative (and therefore meaningless), in other words alternatives that have a self-confidence long since gutted from the West.

Turn to Religion Split Bomb Suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's Home (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324235304578437131250259170.html?mod=WSJ_hps_LEFTTopStories)
[blockquote] Tamerlan persuaded his mother to cover herself up, which she says at one point distressed her husband, Anzor. "He said, 'You are being crazy, covering yourselves,'" she recalled her husband saying. She said that she told him, "This is what Islamic men should want. This is what I am supposed to do."[/blockquote]
Also, one article linked at this topic states Tamerlan was, while in Russia, was tossed out of an uncle's house because of his radicleness.
Hmm, one may surmise that they are all whack jobs.

Bill Hicks had a memorable bit that aptly describes these people:
Bill Hicks - Go Back to Bed America (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR3KwODDzeY#)
Sort of like the discussion we had a while back about musicians and other artists who seemed so close to seeing the real picture, but just had to take a cliched turn to the left at the last second, the same was true of Bill Hicks. I used to watch his stuff back in the early 90s and find myself identifying with his genuine disgust at the passive insipidity of people, and their tendency for herd-thinking, and then be incredulous that he'd follow it up later with some proto-marxist nonsense.

Glock, good observation about the wife, 'the rest of the story'. Throw another coaster like Johnny Taliban in there and, yes, it's like they sing the same song: Oh it's better to be oppressed by anyone anyone anyone else but whites. It's something I don't get. Not enough Boy Scouts in the mix? As pointed out here, white liberals provide cover for the nastiness contained in islam, if not by outright marrying them then by supporting their causes, like megamosques around the country, just to let everyone know how tolerant they are with your life. Honestly, I haven't been watching the news or reading too many other blogs in depth of late so I'm just spitballing here but I'll bet that islam thingy has been properly erased from the Newspeak cycle. Oh sure, they're supposedly looking for 12 (?) more jihadis in the cell, but it has nothing to do with islam, they're just fighting against the oppression and crimes of Russia by bombing the Boston Marathon. AmIright?
Everything I needed to know about islam I watched unfold with my own eyes on 9/11 and, with the shifting of the wind to the north on Thursday morning, smelling it. Everything after that has been confirmation icing on a very horrid cake.
The historical examples I can give concerning current events unfolding right now is that it reads like the end of the Roman Empire, with those bread and circuses keeping everybody happy. Until. And Germany in the 1930's, with some having an impending sense of Doom that became all too real. I see the same downfall/sense of Doom now, with the train wreck happening in slow motion, yet unable to be stopped nor to look away, while the bread and circuses keep the Free Shyt Army happy. Until.

Being too stupid to know how to get the gun out of the holster may have saved somebody's life.
Of course the libiots will totally ignore the story for the way in which it highlights the massive failure their punitive laws on legal gun owners would have for criminals and terrorists!

Liberal logic. The Boston Terror Bombing was retaliation for Bust going after Iraq for funding terror. That is acceptable (in their bizarro land minds). But the US is not permitted to retaliate for the 9/11 terror attack? WTF?? I hate all these asshats and can't wait till we can get rid of this stupid thought process and all who posses it.
-
By now we've all heard that the Boston terrorist brothers were on welfare. State-sponsored terrorism.
But Obama's good friend Massachussetts Governor Patrick doesn't like all the questions about how two known terrorists who the Russian government was warning the FBI and CIA about were sucking on the titties of his welfare state.
Patrick Administration Refuses to Release Tsarnaev Welfare Records (http://bostonherald.com/news_opinion/local_coverage/2013/04/patrick_administration_refuses_to_release_tsarnaev_brothers)
The Patrick administration clamped down the lid yesterday on Herald requests for details of Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s government benefits, citing the dead terror mastermind’s right to privacy.
Across the board, state agencies flatly refused to provide information about the taxpayer-funded lifestyle for the 26-year-old man and his brother and accused accomplice Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19.
On EBT card status or spending, state welfare spokesman Alec Loftus would only say Tamerlan Tsarnaev, his wife and 3-year-old daughter received benefits that ended in 2012. He declined further comment.
On unemployment compensation, labor department spokesman Kevin Franck refused to say whether Tamerlan Tsarnaev ever collected, saying it was “confidential and not a matter of public record.”
On Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s college aid, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth spokesman Robert Connolly said, “It is our position — and I believe the accepted position in higher education — that student records including academic records and financial records (including financial aid) cannot under federal law be released without a student’s consent.”
On cellphones, the Federal Communications Commission would not say whether either brother had a government-paid cellphone, also citing privacy laws.
On housing, Cambridge officials and the family’s landlord ducked questions on whether the brothers were ever on Section 8 assistance.
The Herald reported yesterday that Tamerlan Tsarnaev, his wife and 3-year-old daughter collected welfare until 2012 and that both Tamerlan and Dzhokhar received benefits through their parents “for a limited portion” of the time after they came to the U.S., which was around 2002.
However, the Department of Transitional Assistance wouldn’t release information about how long or how much they received.
It remains unclear how the accused bomber brothers financed their heartless attacks on the marathon.
No, it f***ing doesn't remain unclear.

The FBI had no idea they were sending over the judge, the prosecutor, the federal public defender; and the FBI said they were only 16 hours into what they understood would be a 48 hour period of questioning … . They said they were in the process of getting valuable information … and as soon as that magistrate judge went in there and gave him his rights with his lawyer present, he stopped talking. They said they would never have stopped interrogating him prior to the 48 hours unless they were forced to.”
“These officials with knowledge of the proceedings say they believe our national security may have been compromised by the decision to send that judge in there so soon after the filing of the criminal complaint.”
*sigh* "Miranda" doesn't give rights; it reminds the accused he has them and what they are.
The FBI knows damn well anything they learn/ed from Tsarnaev before "Miranda" is inadmissible in court and they don't care because they don't need it to convict the asshole; they need other information from him which they won't get now that he's clammed up.
So. Who sent the friggin judge?

With a US Attorney present, I'd go with Holder, following Owebama's head twitch; some things don't need to be spoken, just like a mafia don.
Also, Holder filed the criminal charges that morning, necessitating the Miranda warning, filing the charges most likely on Owebama's unwritten orders (Owebama is such a control freak I doubt any White House staffer can take a shyt without permission). No doubt Owebama is busy, once again, covering his worthless skanky @ss on this one, what with his allowing alHarbi to be spirited out of the country before any serious, and damaging to himself, questioning could take place.
The bottom line, though, is that Owebama will get away with whatever he does. There is no pol with the balls to stand up to him.
-
I am not sure how I feel about that, but I think I prefer to err on the side of Mirandizing him. I am highly suspect of this new effort at creating a whole new legal class that is conveniently exempt from most of the constitutional limits on the state's authority. On the other hand I do recognize that with jihadis we are dealing with something that is more than just criminal, yet not quite the same as a soldier from an enemy state.
It's not the jihadis themselves I care about, because they can (and will) RIH, it's the setting of precedents and normalizing of police routinely ignoring the limits on their power. In America the government should never have the authority to pluck someone off the streets and imprison them indefinitely.
-
Good points G, we cannot condone anything that would trample on our rights, well, while we have a few left, they'll rid them all if we let them, and they will try. This turd will get what he deserves, what concerns me more is how easy and comfortable people are with martial law and lack of due process, does not bode well.

I understand and share your trepidation; however, there's this (http://pjmedia.com/andrewmccarthy/2013/04/25/the-public-safety-follies/?singlepage=true), from Andrew McCarthy:
"... the FBI’s interrogation of accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was short-circuited when the Justice Department arranged for him to be given a presentment hearing in the hospital.
In point of fact, it was not the hearing that caused the suspension of vital intelligence-gathering. It was the Obama Justice Department’s decision over the weekend immediately to file a criminal charge against Tsarnaev. Once that was done, the presentment hearing was inevitable. It is required by Rule 5 of the federal rules of criminal procedure. An arrested person must be brought before the nearest available magistrate. The purpose of the proceeding is to get him out of the clutches of law enforcement, have a neutral judicial officer advise him of what he’s been charged with, make certain that he has counsel assigned, and – most significantly – ensure that he knows he is under no obligation to make statements to the police and that, if he has already made some statements, he may stop.
From a national security standpoint, there was no good reason to file a criminal charge so soon and thus trigger procedures that, as everyone involved in the decision well knew, would stop the interrogation. The only reason to do it is political: The Obama administration is philosophically hostile to the law-of-war counterterrorism paradigm. It is determined to regard every terrorist as a criminal defendant rather than an enemy combatant – even if there may be evidence connecting the detained terrorist to our wartime enemies and thus justifying, at least temporarily, an enemy-combatant designation that would allow interrogation to continue for intelligence purposes.
Therefore, in a palpable effort to end any public debate over Tsarnaev’s treatment, and to divert public attention away from what appear to be appalling lapses by the relevant agencies in the months since Tamerlan Tsarnaev got on their radar screen over a year before last week’s terror spree, the administration ran into court.
With a criminal complaint filed, the administration calculated, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is a criminal defendant – no more need to talk about whether he should be a military detainee. And with the civilian prosecution commenced, the public attention could be shifted from the administration’s investigative lapses to the terrorist’s court proceedings."
Read the rest, it's informative.
There's intelligence Obongo and his thugs don't want the rest of us knowing.

You would be fine with the police just doing NOTHING? they are on edge dude, they are in the heat of the moment, they dont KNOW WHO IS THE BAD GUY!!! do you know what thats like? NO YOU DON’T.
LISTEN HERE, AND LISTEN GOOD. what you spread throughout the internet, wtih your conspiracy theories, your anti military, anti government rhetoric, IS NO DIFFERENT than what these JIHAD muther effers do and spout! YOU ARE INDOCTRINATING simple minded people into believing this crap, and its embarrasing as an American.
SICKOS SET OFF BOMBS AT A CROWDED MARATHON AND KILLED AND MAIMED INNOCENTS!! WHAT THE HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL do you want the government to do? sit back and wait? wait for it to happen again? they did an amazing job, hence everyone in the streets supporting and cheering. there is no CONSPIRACY, there is no “gestapo”, its good ole fashion police work. God bless America.
THESE OFFICERS ARE FATHERS, HUSBANDS, BROTHERS, SISTERS, DAUGHTERS, GRANDPARENTS, PUTTING THEIR OWN LIVES IN DANGER GOING HOUSE TO HOUSE TO HOUSE. They don’t know if a door is booby trapped, so when thjey open it it explodes in their face and kills them dead!! they don’t know if that person i nthe house is the bomber, or bad buys with exploding vests on that will blow up and kill them.
SO YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE ON EDGE, I UNDERSTAND AND SO SHOULD ANY OTHER NORMAL HUMAN CITIZEN WITH A BOMBING SUSPECT ON THE LOOSE!!!

HAVE SOME FREAKIN RESPECT FOR THOSE THAT PUT THEIR OWN LIVES IN DANGER AND RISK TO SAVE OURS, AND FOR THOSE THAT ARE KILLED WITH THESE TERROR ATTACKS.
The cops are on edge? Its their job to be alert, not panic and terrorize civilians. I think what really has him upset is the idea that he might have to step up, be the adult, and take on the responiblity for protecting his own family.

I can imagine a scenario where they only small pleasure I have left in life is that people like that dumbass are suffering under the grinding boot heel, and will still be oblivious to how it ever got that way.
In his case, the police are taking away not only his rights but evidently his gag reflex too.
ETA: at least the replies to the moron are pretty good. In particular I like the one that points out the fact that every single man in the Nazi SS and Soviet NKVD was "somebody's son, brother, husband, father, or uncle" too.

It is so clear to me now, how important it is to hold the principles of constitutional rights as the only standard above all other concerns, including safety. There is no "balance". The constitution has to win every time, or it is meaningless.
But if I'm honest with myself about myself and other conservatives, I must look at what I and others have done to bring us to this point.
I made arguments for the Patriot Act and warrantless wiretap. I didn't speak out against the TSA or the DHS when they were being conceptualized and implemented in the wake of 9/11, while government was telling us it was to "keep us safe". I wanted to be "patriotic", and patriotic meant loving America, trusting our military and first responders, and protecting our people from terrorists. Bush was being attacked by the Left, and my response was to defend him, and give him the benefit of the doubt. I ridiculed Leftists and libertarians who railed against his post 9/11 agenda.
That was as wrong then as it is now. We should have demanded that our 9/11 response was constitution first - no justifications for safety's sake. I wish we all knew then what we know now. Bush kicked the door open for Obama, and while some tried to slam it shut, I was there helping to hold it open.

We have little to be pissed about other than those that came before us to purposely let the genie out of the bottle. Interesting. The more that comes out about this Mirandizing shyt, the more questions that arise which will never be answered in anything resembling a satisfactory manner.

Boston Bomber Magistrate’s Middle Eastern Connections
As FOX News reported and Robert Spencer noted, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev stopped talking once he was prematurely read his Miranda rights. That helps the authorities establish the lone wolf narrative. Whatever else we might have learned from him is probably lost.
Once Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was read his rights on Monday, he immediately stopped talking, according to four officials of both political parties who were briefed on the interrogation but insisted on anonymity because the briefing was private.
After roughly 16 hours of questioning, investigators were surprised when a magistrate judge and a representative from the U.S. Attorney’s office entered the hospital room and read Tsarnaev his rights, the four officials and one law enforcement official said. Investigators had planned to keep questioning him.
District Court Judge Marianne Bowler arrived at the hospital where he is being treated to preside over his initial hearing Monday, when she read him his Miranda rights.
But Fox News’ sources say there was confusion about Bowler’s timing, with some voicing concerns that investigators were not given enough time to question Dzhokhar under the “public safety exception” invoked by the Justice Department.
Two officials with knowledge of the FBI briefing on Capitol Hill said the FBI was against stopping the investigators’ questioning and was stunned that the judge, Justice Department prosecutors and public defenders showed up, feeling valuable intelligence may have been sacrificed as a result.
Judge Bowler has some interesting international connections. She is a member of the Member of the International Judicial Relations Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States.
Apparently in that capacity, she visited and spoke on legal issues at a number of Muslim countries, becoming the first female judge to speak in Kuwait, appearing also in Egypt and in the United Arab Emirates.
Oddly enough, aside from a visit to the US embassy in Belgrade, those are the only international appearances that she lists and they all take place in Muslim countries.
While Islamic infiltration of our political system is well known, the infiltration of our legal system is less well known, but operates within similar parameters with foreign contacts being made. There is no way of knowing how much Bowler has been influenced by her connections with the legal and political systems of the Muslim world, but it is telling that her international judicial relations appear to begin and end with the Muslim world.
Our political system is lost (communists running wild). Our legal system is lost (The Dread Pirate Roberts proved that). The police are not our friends (the suspension of the 4th Amendment in Boston proved that). And we want to rely on the military to save us?

Go back a little further and see why Owebama loves him his Lincoln comparisons. Lincoln illegally suspended the rights of habeus corpus during The Civil War, locking in jail or St. Elizabeth's (a mental hospital in D.C.) many not convicted of anything or merely criticizing the government.
And let's not forget the first progressive president was a Republican, Big Stick himself. He opened the door to taking over vast tracts of land by the government, another wonderful precedent.
Then comes the racist Wilson, with Big Stick's cousin imitating the dictators we faced in WWII. Next Johnson and his Great Welfare Society. Now Owebama and, well, everything he does.

Pan closed her post above with the teaser "There's intelligence Obongo and his thugs don't want the rest of us knowing." and it bears comment.
I find it easy enough as it is to jump into the conspiracy mindset, especially given the level of mendacious progressive filth contaminating this Regime, but part of me would still rather have our civil rights elevated above national security expediency. This little bastard is a naturalized citizen, right wrong or indifferent, and the making of exceptions is what begins the erosion of civil rights...the state will always keep seeking to establish a new and wider boundary for itself until one day no boundary exists at all. I can relate to the hindsight IDP described about the Patriot Act etc, because I too had a fair measure of law-and-order conservatism left in me. And yeah rolling in this judge and cutting off the intel gathering from this muzzie bastard looks bad and the motivations of the Regime cannot be trusted, but perhaps in the end the right thing happened for the wrong reasons. Taking the worst case scenario into consideration, if the Regime is looking to quash inside info of a larger conspiracy I suspect it is of the "other muzzie collaborators" variety (like the Saudi) and not the direct Regime involvement people want to find. Did Regime actions, incompetence and bias toward muzzies influence elements of the acts surrounding these muzzie douchebags? Sure. But somehow I find it difficult to believe if there is a true wider conspiracy at play that more face time with muzzie douchebag #2 was going to break it open. Unless we are talking about waterboarding his ass...but that avenue was cut off right away when the Feds decided he would not be tried as an enemy combatant...so that argument is over.

I am guilty as charged as well. The patriot act made me nervous, but I figured it had an expiration date, and the Liberals hated it so much, it was sure not to be renewed then the Dems got the levers of power.
No, I didn't understand liberals then, as well as I do now.. I had not yet reached the conclusion that they will side with evil each and every time, and was still unwilling to accept they had no principles at all- Hell I was still arguing with them until a few years ago. My epiphany came when I realized I was arguing in an attempt to discover and prove the truth and they were arguing to deflect people from it, including themselves. That they argued to feel self-righteous and superior and demonstrate linguistic cleverness ( if they possessed it)
My error in judgement was in not seeing what the liberals would do down the road, thinking the Patriot act would be temporary. . Thinking that liberals hate war, and so on. The only thing they hate is not being in charge. Their only principle is power. Its no wonder they were shrieking about Bush as if he were Hitler. They knew what THEY would do with that power ( what Obama is doing now) and assumed GWB was like them, and would use it to persecute and imprison.

Its a Big Seat, and the decisions are hard. (You know, unless you don't take them seriously like Borat. )
I have read Lincoln's letters and papers. I don't think he was a bad or evil man at heart. I think he was trying very hard to do what was right and to preserve the Nation. He didn't- what came after the civil war was significantly different in character than the old republic. He sowed the seeds of destruction, but it was a choice of destruction then or destruction later. Most humans given that choisce , choose later. That is why we can depend on Helicopter Ben to deliver.
I think GWB did something similar with the Patriot act and Medicare expansions. The path to tell is paved with Good Intentions. I Don't (yet) believe Bush was an evil man, who deliberately acted to harm us, but harm us he did, and we sat by and let him. The sad thing is we sit here and feel guilt and remorse over our mistake, while the liberals who were Right about the Patriot Act ( as a broken clock is right - their protest was based on politics not principle) are now cheering those same measures wielded by a man who IS deliberately using them to harm us, our liberty and our country.

You are no more in control of the political landscape than the guy in the 7th row back of the rollercoaster ride. We're all a captive audience. Which is why it is only frustrating as long as you continue to delude yourself into believing in it. I can't tell you how liberating it is to recognize what a POS this nation has become and to say that I withdraw my consent.
In some ways I've always lived as an outsider, if not outlaw. As a practicing conservative I understand the need for the rule of law. I also understand that unconstitutional law must not be obeyed and that despotism must be opposed.
I did speak out - with my tiny mouse-like voice - against the Patriot Act. Not because it was bad, but because I recognized that it could be manipulated and used in bad ways by bad people. For the sake of intellectually consistency and honesty I had to conclude that it wasn't good if it held the potential to be used against us instead of for us. My voice didn't count then just like it doesn't count now.
Oh, and for what it's worth...Lincoln did nothing to sow seeds of destruction. He did what was necessary to hold our nation together. And he wasn't the architect of any transformation of America - the reconstructionists who came to power in the wake of Lincoln's assassination were responsible for reshaping much of our nation and setting its new course. Our first prog prez was Jefferson.
Edited for clarity

I do not want my position on this misunderstood; I am not for giving the Feds any leeway as far as detainment and prosecution go.
As far as I know, Bomber #2 could have clammed up right from the start and insisted on a lawyer; he would have been well within his rights to do so and that has to be respected.
Unless I'm mistaken, roughly, the "Miranda" ruling resulted in a suspect self-incriminating because he either didn't know his rights or was bullied into disclosing that which was used in trial against him. That cannot be the case now; the law is, and the FBI knows, that anything self-revealed cannot be used against the accused pre-Mirandizing OR if the accused demands a lawyer and refuses to speak to them.
The Fifth Amendment reads, in part:
"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise *infamous crime*, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising ..... when in actual service in time of War or public danger ....... nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law ....."
I believe the "national security" exception/issue was carved out of the "public danger" part of the Amendment.
As far as treating Bomber #2 as an enemy combatant, for all the calls to do so from Senators and those who should damn well know better, Congress itself, in 2002, passed a law whereby ties to AQ or another terrorist group must be present for the classification to legally apply. Which is what the FBI was trying to ascertain, I'm guessing, before the dhimmi judge showed up with her phalanx of terrorist-defending lawyers.

Anyone watching the performances of this media darling can only come to a couple of conclusions: She’s been lying through her teeth that her “good kids” had nothing to do with the Boston terror attack and it’s probably a safe bet she put the elder son up to it. We had seen stories where she was the domineering influence in the family (Uncle Ruslan said as much), and she sure is well-versed in the art of deception.
Russian officials warned authorities in the United States about the mother of the bombing suspects in 2011, and she was also added to a terror watch list, according to CNN.
The FBI interviewed Zubeidat Tsarnaeva about concerns that her son, Tamerlan, was taking a radical turn, but cleared both of them.
She lashed out Thursday, saying she’s sorry she ever brought her family to the United States. She also said she wants proof that the attack wasn’t “staged.”
She wants proof it wasn’t staged. So this nutcase makes wild allegations and now it’s our duty to disprove her. Um, OK. Likely aware she’d be picked up at Logan on the outstanding warrant for shoplifting, she and her husband are now delaying their trip to American to pick up son Speedbump. That and she probably would be allowed to fly anyway.
The Tsarnaevs are originally from the embattled Russian republic of Chechnya but fled from the brutal wars there in the 1990s. The two brothers were born in Kyrgyzstan and moved at different times to the United States.
Zubeidat Tsarnaev and her older son were both added by U.S. authorities to the Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment, or TIDE, database in 2011 — a collection of more than a half million names maintained by the National Counterterrorism Center, an intelligence official said.
Meanwhile, Howie Carr asks a very interesting question nobody else has wondered about.
If the Tsarnaevs were so persecuted in Kleptostan that they needed “asylum,” how come all of them fly back and forth to that Third World hellhole like they’re jumping on the Red Line to Park Street? {And where are they getting the money? - P}
Excellent point. If these grifters came here seeking asylum, why the hell are they back in their sh*thole? Are the mean streets of Dagestan actually an upgrade from Cambridge?

It's clear that we have lost the war with words ..........."enemy combatant" is a legal term used when nations areat war with one another. Bomber 2 was an illegal enemy combatant meaning he isn't a soldier in a recognized army therefore, he hasn't any rights whatsoever.

WASHINGTON (AP) — (http://seattletimes.com/html/politics/2020875591_apusbostonmarathonrussia.html) Russian authorities secretly recorded a telephone conversation in 2011 in which one of the Boston bombing suspects vaguely discussed jihad with his mother, officials said Saturday, days after the U.S. government finally received details about the call.
Define vaguely.

Not that I'm defending what Lincoln did but one thing has to be said and that's that Lincoln was in uncharted territory.
But thanks to him, we now have a precedent for our current leaders. ::outrage::
If you believe that our curent leader wouldn't do it anyway.

There we have it folks, she had every opportunity to shed this barbarism but instead she's actually embraced it instead. War against Islam? Not at all, war against evil and Satan's minions.

Not sure how you tell pre-bomb-explosion DNA from post-detonation DNA...but if they can conclusively trace to another of this extended clan of savages, so be it...

Oh, and the state of Massachusettes coughed up $100k in bene's to this murderous clan...nice, huh?

Yepperdo, Infowars today is akin to the John Birch Society a decade ago when it was mocked, nobody took it seriously, but they were right on the money.
If Alex Jones could just get off the 9/11 Truther stuff (and now I'm starting to wonder, just a little bit, about THAT) he'd be taken more seriously.
I'd like to believe I'd have told the cops that hey, you aren't searching my house without a warrant and no, I'm not leaving either, SIR.

Certainly not hearing any of this from state-run media...
People not happy with heavy-handed tactics and lack of respect for person, property and due process...shocking I know...the libiots and government masters must be surprised that people are resistant to all these years of loss of rights conditioning...they'll no doubt redouble their efforts to rectify that failing...and step one was getting state-run media to quash all criticism.
Sheeple thinking they are free...silly sheeple!
Join the rebellion against tyranny...join or die, remember that slogan?
And wtf is with all the bullet holes in homes? Cars near a shootout I can understand, but second level of homes? Was that the jihadi brothers panic fire and/or trigger-happy authorities?
I like the comment about the Feds being scarier than the locals...wtf did they expect?
-
"Was that the jihadi brothers panic fire and/or trigger-happy authorities?"
Thinks it's linked to in this Topic somewhere: There was a fellow in second floor apartment with a bullet hole through his (computer?) chair - he took images of the gunfight and could have shot (at) the terrorists except it is against Massachusetts law.

So tired of the warning signs being ignored, Muhammadan freaks are all too easy to lure into committing any manner of atrocity, but the pc/diversity/multi-culti cultist here appease this sh*t, talk about peaceful and moderate people who seem not to exist in this ilk and look for ways to curtail our rights and liberty instead of focusing on these savage animals...
They are a terminal disease, period, the only salvation for the infected is complete eradication of the disease. Got it? There is only a right and wrong answer, no middle jackass libiots! Just cold hard reality and cold hard choices. Don't like it? Tough sh*t!

Multi-cultural diversity. That's the ultimate result when you Balkanize a nation.

It's unclear how it came down in FL; however, if the new ROI becomes attritive to those who associate with terrorists it will be a step in the right direction.

Initially, FBI officials said Todashev, 27, became violent and lunged at an agent with a knife while he was being questioned about Tsarnaev and an unsolved 2011 triple murder in the Boston suburb of Waltham. The agent, acting on an "imminent threat," then shot Todashev, they said.
However, later in the day, some of those officials had backed off that preliminary account, and it's no longer clear what happened in the moments before the fatal shooting, The Associated Press reported.[/blockquote]

Wouldn't they have searched him for weapons before questioning him? So gee whiz, he confesses to being involved in a triple homicide immediately before becoming conveniently not-alive-anymore?
I'm sure he was garbage like all Muslims, but our government is all garbage too. I don't trust them to give us anything even close to the truth.

See what I mean? The stench precedes them, the end result I have no problem with, it's the getting there that ought to concern us.
