I have never fired one, but always wanted one. As you know it's basically an M14 without the full auto capability. There's something about the M14 that I really like, it's the last "real" rifle and pretty much the pinnacle of its type. In essence an M1 Garand that takes detachable mags.
Space age polymers and light, fast intermediate cartridges are all great, but sometimes you just want to go old school and put a man's rifle into your shoulder!

The M14 was the last issue piece that I could comfortably get 300 yd hits consistently. It was almost 2nd nature. The toy guns that follwed didn't have the mass to stabilize them, IMHO.
