It was sort of mentioned earlier but I will expand on it a bit. Talking to machines. I hate it.
I refuse to participate in voice mail. Only out of absolute desperation will I leave someone a message. But under no circumstances will I use voice mail myself. I recorded a message for my voice mail but it doesn't say, "Leave a message at the beep." Instead it says, "Hey, you've reached trap's voice mail. That means that I'm out of cell phone range, I'm on the line with someone else or my battery is dead. If I'm on the line with someone else I can see that you have called and I will call you back. If I'm out of cell range or my battery is dead then please call me again later. DO NOT leave a message because I hate voice mail, I don't use it and I will not listen to your message if you leave one. No kidding, I won't so don't bother." And still my message box is full. Go figure.
I just remember a simpler time before there were even answering machines and when the phone rang and no one picked it up you just called back later. Answering machines and voice mail are one of the few parts of modern technology that I despise and refuse to participate in.
